Take a look at this. Relationship between 'belief in Godzilla" and "IQ". Almost everyone with an IQ below 90 believes in God. As IQ goes up belief goes down.

That is why 90-some percent of the prison population believes in Godzilla.

And 90-some percent of National Academy of Science members do not believe in Godzilla.

It is nice to have really smart geniuses on my side. How does it feel to have all the dumbos?

It's funny how the same people who discount IQ tests at times, have all the confidence in the world in them when they tout their own IQ... for some reason when their group scores high it is reliable when another group scores low it is evidence of a flawed test.

Nah, IQ tests are there to determine which people know how to abbreviate et cetera as etc.

Not looking at any numbers and taking what you said as gospel (nothing intended) then I would think back to something the President said that got him in some heat a while back: When the economy is down and people feel hopeless they tend to turn to guns and religion.

Another possible reason: Atheists skew white.. Hispanics and those of African heritage tend to be more religious.. We are adding more of the latter and less of the former.. source

I'm not sure why numbers actually mean anything to you.. but since they seem to be a measure of proof.. In the UK the number of people identifying as being christian has gone from near 70% in the 1980's to under 50% today.. The number identifying as having no religion passed 50% for the first time in 2009.

A state by state study done over the course of nearly 20 years shows the number people choosing to be identified as "no religion" has increased in every single state Cute Graph Here I am guessing that trend will continue... BTW click on the trends for Christians and other religions as a percentage state by state .. Interesting huh?

None of it means anything.. Your beliefs are based on faith, not reason.. There is nothing that you can see, hear, or witness that can possibly change your views..
