So the only instrument we're going to have is a piano and the only times we'll need music is for my processional with my daughters and then again for the recessional when all of us leave the sanctuary...

I don't want the traditional bridal march... any ideas??? This is one of the last details we have to work out!

Jen

my sister picked the song... " always and forever"

I have a singer that will be singing a few songs I adore off his album.

one for my processional - then I will have my grand entrance song.

Thanks you guys! Yes, we are getting excited.... we picked up the marrige license during lunch today. The people at the county clerk's office actually asked us to stop in and see them after we're married! We must've made a good impression or something. David does that... people light up around him (including me  )

Forgot to mention a caveat.... we're marrying in a church, so the music really can't be 'secular'.

I found this web site that I thought would give us some ideas... for the recessional, I sort of like "Rondeau, Fanfare from Masterpiece Theatre"

http://www.music-scores.com/wedding/instru...p;name=weddings

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

For the processional we used Londonderry Aire (Danny Boy). Can you guess why?

The recessional was a marching band version of "The Best of Times".

Yes we are weird.

It's the accent hun. They love the accent...

You're not kidding, Becc! At WalMart the other day, the check out 'woman' wanted him to stay there to talk to her while she was checking out the next people in line. She was giggling like a school girl every time he said something. Then when we left, she wanted us to be sure to come through 'her' line again next time we were there!

I am very amused by people's reactions to him.... funny how many people think he's from Australia.

Is there some written or unwritten rule that requires non-secular music at a church wedding? I mean seriously because then I broke all the rules at my first wedding and it was in a Baptist church....

YMMV

I think it really depends on the church...

Actually... they have asked him to repeat his OWN name during introductions... he says it more like 'Die-vid' than 'Day-vid' and it catches people off guard....
