Hi All,

My petition for my spouse got approved. My Affidavit of Support got approved also. The next thing I have is to have my spouse fill up form DS230.

Can she just scanned the documents and send it to me via email of she needs to send it to me by mail? And also, what other documents needs to go with the form?

The DS-230 needs to be signed by the foreign spouse. You can fill out the form online, print if off, scan it, and email it. Then have your foreign spouse sign it. Does the Embassy allow you to email the signed form to them or do you just need to bring it to the interview? Sorry, I'm not familiar with the Embassy guidelines.

Are you still pursuing K3? If yes, sorry I'm not familiar with how the process goes for you guys.

If NVC closed down your I-129F route and you are now pursuing the CR-1/IR-1 route, NO you CANNOT scan and send files electronically - Manila isn't one of the countries eligible for electronic processing. Your wife has to send everything through postal mail - barcoded cover sheet from the NVC portal, DS-230 part 1 signed part 2 unsigned, NSO Birth Certificate original and photocopy, NSO Marriage Certificate original and photocopy, NBI clearance original and photocopy, 2 pcs US-sized passport photos (write name, DOB, and MNL case number at the back), and photocopy of passport biographic information page. If applicable, include Police Clearances from other countries if she has resided there for more than 6 months. And documentation of termination of previous marriages, court records, military records.

She can send the entire IV package directly to NVC.

10/01/11 - Filed (2) I-130's

10/04/11 - NOA-1

04/05/12 - NOA-2

Your I-130 was approved in 184 days from your NOA1 date.

NVC

04/23/12 - NVC received both cases (18 days/12 business days from NOA-2)

05/07/12 - Case numbers and IIN's (14 days/10 business days since NVC received)

05/07/12 - Sent out DS-3032 by email; auto-response received

05/08/12 - AOS fee invoiced, paid - "IN PROCESS"

05/09/12 - AOS fee shows as "PAID"
