passport handed over to bluedart

hello everyone, my husband had an interview in august and was given a 221(g) letter asking for more documents. we had submitted all the required documents on the last week of august and checked the status on vfs website saying-your passport is under process at us embassy. today (after 1 week) it shows that your passport was handed over to bluedart. what does that mean and if there's any chance of issuance of visa? pls. help. your responses will be highly appreciated. thank-you

There could be two possibilities:

1 - They have granted your visa, and sending your passport with visa.

2 - They need more documents and sending your passport back with 2nd 221g letter.

thank-you for your reply, but how to contact DOS? and what info do i need to check the status for our case-case number, passport number? are they still open during week-ends?

They would need your case number to look up the records for you. That is it! They may ask few questions for verification. Try Monday-Friday.
