Prepare to wait for around 6 months plus if your files are being processed by VSC. In the meantime try to familiarize yourself on the documents you need after NOA2. 3 year tax returns, letter from job stating your salary and position, W-2 etc. You will have to see what is required for the Dominican Republic embassy.

Sent I-129 Application to VSC 2/1/12
NOA1 2/8/12
RFE 8/2/12
RFE reply 8/3/12
NOA2 8/16/12
NVC received 8/27/12
NVC left 8/29/12
Manila Embassy received 9/5/12
Visa appointment & approval 9/7/12
Arrived in US 10/5/2012

Basically there's nothing you can do until NOA2 but sit and wait, maybe look ahead and gather some paperwork that you'll need like police certificates, tax transcripts, etc. Join the forums for your filing month on here and make friends. There's lots of good info here. Also, look at your NOA1 and change your service center to either VSC or CSC. The Dallas lockbox is where you mailed your petition. It's not the same as TSC, which doesn't process I-129F petitions. Once you have the right info in there, you can get a better look at estimates for how long you should expect to wait.

Very true.. you have a few months to go before you hear anything. I say take a break from VJ because it may drive you a little crazy seeing how other members are getting their approvals and attending interviews, even though just like you are about to do, they waited many months to get to where they are at now. When I hit the 3 month mark, that's when I started gathering everything to gether for the interview such as pictures, contacting USCIS to find out if an RFE will be mailed, but they won't give you any information only if it has been approved or not, and I also started to fill out the K1 visa forms. I say find a hobby and something to keep your mind occoupied! I also recommend two more things. Familiarize yourself with the cost of the visa, including medical exams and vaccines and also to plan at least 1 trip in between your paperwork. Not that it will make a difference but Santo Domingo they tend to be a little rough on the applicants..they care more about pictures and visits made into the country.

Wish you the best of luck! :star:
