Hey everybody: Thanks for all the best vibes, I got back from the interview today. It was very very simple. So we got there half an hour earlier and sat down in the waiting area (after security check). Instead of the appointed 2:30pm we got in at 3pm, but it was very smooth. We, before sitting down, sworn in that we'll say the truth. Then the lady asked us, "So, how long the two have known each other" I replied, 2007. She was then "Oh, you guys are dating since 2007?" I told her, "no! We were first were just emailing to each other for a year, then in late Fall 2008 we met in person. Then we would meet on and off depending on how our weekend would look like and over the years we became good friends. I met his family, ans siblings, and we hung out a lot with them too, but then at the summer of 2010 we decided to go further and see if we could built our friendship into a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. And then we ended up getting married." The lady asked us, when we got married. We told her this July 26, 2012. She then asked us "Do you guys have a joint bank account? Are you guys have a house, or on a lease together? Do you guys have insurance together?" We started telling her while trying to pull out the documents from our big pack that "Yes, we have joint bank account. Yes, we're renting an apartment and our lease is on both of our names, let me show that too you as I'm looking for the bank statement And we have renter's insurance, and car insurance together I'll get that to you, but we don't have health insurance together as I am under the school's student insurance plan as I'm a student and he could not be on that insurance, and the coinsurance he could get is the one he is currently under already". So while I was searching for all these, she was going like "Do you have some pictures you could show me?" So, I stopped looking for the joint bank account, rental lease, insurances, and gave her the photo album. We looked through it, and explained on the photo who is who, Disneyland pictures we went together, wedding we attended of his friend, as well as his siter's wedding where I actually caught the bouquet. Pictures of our 4th of July, or even stupid McDonald's pictures as we're freaks of McDonald's, then it contained our wedding photo where I explained her who is who on my husband's family, and I explained her why, although I'm very young, my parents are not there (they have passed away already), then my husband's brother's marriage in Utah, and on and on. In the middle as she was looking through the photos she asked if we lived together before we got married. We told her no, due to my husband's religion that states that people cannot cohabit prior to marriage and we respect that. The funny thing is, she did not ask if we're living together now which we don't as I'm a student and I cannot leave my town, while my husband has a job somewhere else. That was like my biggest fear that this will totally make us being denied. Then she closed the photoalbum and I guess they have all sorts of records as she all of a sudden was like "So, I actually see you basically grew up here in America. Is that by your parents?" And I told her that actually yes. My dad got a job here and we moved here when I was six years old, and my mom side are all from the US (namely CT, and FL) so we moved here when I was young and I grew up here as a kid. She was like "oh okay, that is why you don't have an accent at all. I was amazed how well you speak English". LOL So, then she just told us it is a temporary green card, gotta remove the conditions two years later and so on. And that was it! We brought tons of stuff, and she did not even look at them..like besides the photo album, she did not even look at anything at all. It was weird....except at the very beginning for our driver's license, and passport. :) And I already checked USCIS case and it already says "Card production". WOW! That was really quick...the interview was a breeze, and the whole process was a breeze...:) I'm very happy. Thank you for all of you!!! :)

Good luck to you GreenTrain, you'll do fine! I'm sure! :)

Ps: "Femery": I am totally ;)

CONGRATS!!! It seems like everyone's interview is been smooth!.. hope to get the same luck, my big day is the 6th crossing fingers

Hey femery: since you were in the same office, did you had a lady in her middle ages, with like a Hispanic origin and accent? I wonder if you had the same lady as we had. :) Mezamo, hang on! Two more days and you'll also come back :)

Hmm I'm not sure she's hispanic, I dont remember her having the accent..she was soft spoken, calm...I noticed there were a bunch of interview rooms there! But I was thinking the same thing when she called my name cause I knew you were interviewed by a woman hehehe

Interview went smooth. No intrusive questions just general stuff and previous marriage.

Never asked for photos.

But gave me letter for 'Further review'. Don't know what exactly that means???

Now, kind of checking now & then for the update

Feeling like struck in traffic, not sure what happened ahead and don't know when traffic will move

Alright guys. I hope all is well and most of September filers are almost at the end of the finishing line. I just received two text messages that both I-130 and 485 have been approved.... yay :D:dance: . Especially this last waiting wasn't fun at all. But anyway, I really wish everyone who is still waiting all the best, and great thanks for the VJ and it's amazing members who guide us thru this treacherous journey.

Now expecting to receive the approval hard copy notice in the next few.

Hello to all :D

Sorry for the late update. Got busy with my term paper all day yesterday until today. So we had the interview yesterday morning, didn't get asked for pictures or anything, since the IO asked when and how long we had known each other, and we told where we met and went to the the same undergrad schools for 5 years. He just questioned our financial a bit, since both of us are still going to school without work right now, me to grad school and wife to dental school. So he did some questions and answers on a sheet of paper.

The IO was a middle-aged black man, kinda not so fun to work with because he told us he had a tough time interviewing some couple before us, so....you all know the feelings lol. Anyway he took my I-94 and told us to wait for further review, though he told me he could approve my case but need further review. The interview was like 15-20 minutes without any hard times for us. That's all :D

Now we're just praying for God's blessings with the best result we deserve after all the hard work.

Best luck to us all and thanks for all the blessings :D

PS: the security took away my swiss knife from my key chain

Hello people ;) well I had my interview this morning and I think it was pretty intense. I would say it lasted about 40 min. First my hubby (US citizen) was called in. I waited for 20 min almost peeing on my pants. I was called after, did not a thing what they have asked my hubby. So I went in and the questions began. I would say the IO asked me anything he could think of. About our apt, our building, our families, how we met, where, first date, proposal, how many ppl attened to the ceremony, where it was, name of the owner of the place, about work, schedules OMG he even asked what me and hubby ate the night before, if hubby went to work yesterday, what time he got home. I mean I knew all the answers but I think it was long and intense. After 20 min the IO told me I was approved and should be geting the GC within two weeks. Nt to mention that of course he asked names, DOB and address.

Well I am so happy everything went well. What a relief!!!!
