Wow...small world...I'm actually not just nervous now but a bit excited as I know some others are also going to be there pretty soon. I am at 2:30pm. :) But I'm on the 3rd, not the 4th. So I'll tell you all about my experience. I hope it won't be painful!!! >.< All the best to you as well! And I guess we're straight shoot for the mall parking. LOL :)

So far I have not received EAD/AP or interview letter

I dont know why its taking long but I just have to wait

Thanks for checking me out.I will update you If anything comes through

Pole jo, I feel for you. Suspense is always nerve racking, and i am the most impatient guy. As long as you have not been RFE'd, you should be fine. So many confusing stuff happens at the USCIS,but eventually all the dust will settle and we will keep this behind us. Keeping the faith is ok,but i would also suggest infopassing, isije kawa imekaliwa na msee.

Congrats! Seems like perhaps your call to the local congressman might have helped speed up the process! You filed about 10 days before us and we're sitting around waiting for some sort of correspondence after having completed biometrics. Maybe we should do the same thing as you!

Well, when the Congressman's office contacted the USCIS for the expedite request-it was denied because they only act if it's really urgent. I did say that I needed the EAD in hand before I'd get a shot at the job but it didn't matter. So, I lost the job. It's OK, I'm just thanking God that there's movement. And looking at your timeline, I think you should be getting your interview letter very soon. Hopefully you're local USCIS office is not swamped! I think I got lucky because it's Norfolk, VA and assuming it won't be as torrid as NY, CA or the rest.

I feel you pal. For most AOS filers the late EAD approvals, so close to interviews, has been so trendy. However,it's better late than never especially for those who need it to renew DLs etc. I just received an update mine has been picked up by usps and will arrive on Friday, 10 days to my interview, quite useless for now. For the job loss don't worry many will open up for you, keep the faith and congratulations!!

So I'm not understanding this....what is the base of how fast, or late one gets their EAD? I've got mine in no time....is that just how busy the offices are? Or is there any base? There has to be...it cannot be just by chance that I get it for example in a breeze, and others get it right around their interview, or even after. Anyone knows what lies behind this time phase difference when about to get EAD? Just curious! Thanks!

*rings the "No EAD!" bell*

Really, don't mind me, USCIS--give me the EAD after approving my residency...

But yeah, interview is Nov. 26th, and so far there has been no movement whatsoever. We're very glad no RFEs have come our way (I'm paranoid that we might get it any day between now and the 26th). Going to compile copies of our original application packets this weekend and add in some more current evidence. I'm dealing with PhD applications right now too, so our plate is more than full.

  • 08/19/2005 – Entered U.S. as student. F1 visa, D/S.
