Hello all Sept filers,

Time sure flies by too slowly for this whole process, especially after receiving REF, but in the end we got NOA for interview on Dec 4th at 9:15 AM in San Jose. I noticed some of us have interviews on that day; interesting and may all the prayers and blessings from our families and friends be with us! :D

By the way, does anyone have "All documentation establishing your eligibility for Lawful Permanent Resident Status" and "Original and copy of each supporting document that you submitted with your application. Otherwise, we may keep your originals for our records" for required documents? I wonder what those are. Anyone's idea would be helpful and greatly appreciated!

Time to gather evidences!

PS: anyone having interviews in San Jose?

I'm bringing an exact copy of what I sent (the whole application) plus the originals. As for the eligibility proof, I'm guessing you should bring everything that proves yours or your spouse's legal residency.

I think since we're all in california they processed us together and maybe that's why we got our dates close...what matters is that we all got our interviews and we're all happy :D

Camp lo vipi? Most people here who filed on 4th Sept, 2012 including myself have been scheduled for interviews. This may not be the same for everybody as some cases vary considerably depending on service center and local field offices. The good thing is finally/eventually,everyone will have a chance for interview regardless of how USCIS 'snail paces'.I wish you all the best mwenzangu. Good luck!!

Maze Nimeboeka sana

Lol :) I am not patient at all, a lot of times ...but when I think about how many years I am already on this visa journey and how many years are still ahead, I'll better get used to it.

I think we are pretty lucky, other visa applications/AOSs have to wait way, way longer.

You case is similar to mine

I Filed on 11th september

Package was received on 13 September

Did Walk-in Biometrics on 26th september

Hey people:

So I called USCIS and Gandolftheyellow was right...they did schedule my interview, for December 3rd. However, I do have a question: I thought NBC did not process I-485 applications...and yet, my interview is schedule at NBC while I am located in California. So what should I do? NBC is in Montana...flying over for an interview is not too friendly idea to me...any advice?

Thanks!

@AnotherLostSoul & @femery:

I saw you have interview on Dec 3rd & 4th. Mine is also on Dec 4th. We are on same boat.

Your local office is in California?

Please share how you're preparing for the interview like what documents to carry, other things to do etc.

May GOD bless us !!!

Hey GreenTrain,

I started a post for required documents in the "adjustment of status from work, student, tourist visa" forum, and some people who had interviews before recommended bringing all original and copied versions of whatever paperwork/evidence you submitted for each form (130, 485, 864). In short, better bring ALL (original and copies), and THE MORE THE BETTER. In my case, both my wife and I will also bring our school transcripts, since we attended and graduated from 2 schools together :D

I guess that's all. Best luck be with us! And may the blessings and prayers from our families and friends be with us too!

Hi, everyone.

We've been without power for a bit thanks to Sandy, and so our work on accumulating the originals/copies of our original packet and adding any new evidence of our ongoing/advancing relationship has been on hold. Hopefully, we'll get power back tomorrow, and the process can continue!

So basically, we're focusing on making an accurate copy of our original filing packets, except this will have original documents and copies. We'll also be opening up a joint account (please see a few pages back for an interesting debate on whether or not it is a good idea--we think it is since we can reasonably justify any "Why are you opening it so near to the interview?" questions, should such arise), and we will be adding in some more cell phone bills and recent photos. Nothing really big has happened since our filing, so we're not sure what else we should, or could, add. Any thoughts?

Oh my femery!!! Mine is also in the Sacramento office, in CA. Woah, are we going to walk in hand-in-hand? LOL :) Anyway, to reply to the guy who was asking what we bring: I am doing the same thing, bringing in whatever I submitted in the package, but also the original documents. Good idea on the transcripts, I will do that too. And I will include some photos, since I did not send a piece with my original application. :) Good luck to all of you!!! What time is yours on December 4th, may I ask, femery? :)
