It depends on your area and what you need. My husband paid around $700. He needed a lot of vaccines. Our county clinic doesn't do free shots for adults. It was ridiculous, but I have seen the cost of vaccines for my kids and it is usually $150 a vaccine once you factor in the fee for administering it. So it sounds like a lot but it may be legit. Or you may be getting ripped off.

I thought we were doing the wise thing by adding my now wife to my insurance prior to seeing the civil surgeon to verify vaccines...

First of all, I must've called 4 or 5 and all of them said that insurance does not cover visits for immigration -_- So I ask for prices, one doctor wanted to charge me $300 just to verify her vaccines. I said "hell no!". I eventually found another doctor who said "I'll charge you one hundred and change...". When I show up there, his staff wanted my insurance to cover her blood test, I tell them "she came in on a K1 visa, she doesn't need another medical because she had her medical back in June." They bark at me "you need proof!". I almost walked out, but we waited for the doctor. He turns out to be a nice man and when we explain to him about the K1 and about his staff being very rude, he agrees to give my wife the MMR vaccine free of charge. I was quite pleased.

Shop around, they are trying to rip you off. I know this because they tried to rip me off. Bastards.

I had a medical appt y'day (adjusting from B2), and was told that it costs $225.00

After I paid the initial amount I was told that if I needed

more shots then I have to pay more for shots (never told me that

and I called several times). After meeting with the doctor I was told that

I need 4 more shots and 3 of them cost $95 each and the other one $150.

Should I proceed with this or are they ripping me off? I already paid $225.00

for TB test and blood work, and when I go back I have to pay $435 extra :(

How much did you guys pay for your medical?

Thanks for your insight on this!

these CS's are exploiting everyone everywhere which is disgusting.we have a similar case and i am currently in a process to undergo this immigration medical exam. to my bad luck, there are only two CS serving/near(2 hours) my location. both are charging $160 and $178 just for their signature and excluding the exorbitant fee for the vaccination and other tests. i am gonna go to the county clinic for all my Vaccs and the TB (MMR for $60,TDAP for $40,vericella for $100 and TB for free )these are still the "discounted" rates plus i am still to figure out where to get the Syphilis test ($60 to $100) done and after that would likely to choose the CS who charges $160.so the whole I694 is gonna cost me around $450. that is bullshit.wish you good luck mate. My husband had no shot records and was only required to get MMR, Tdap and Varicella (no Hep A or B). Also there is no HIV test, only test for syphilis. I would be careful about "free clinics", these immunizations are optional for adults and not required. I wonder how they bill te government for these "free" immunizations. I would be curious to hear others experiences on clinics and free immunization for adults. Our total medical bill including chest X-ray was around $450 in Sacramento

Your sounds a lot like my husbands! We went to Secure Medical in Beltsville, MD. All of the prices and procedures were clearly laid out on their website. They required the MMR, Tdap but he's had chicken pox so they didn't require the varicella. No HIV, just syphilis testing. Of course being from Haiti he failed the TB skin test due to having the BCG vaccine and was required to do a chest X-ray at an additional $100 but again, it was clearly stated on their website. Total cost $390.

Just a reminder, if you had chicken pox as a child, you don't need the varicella.

Don't you all remember having chicken pox as a child? I'm pretty sure if it was going to cost me $100 or so dollars to get the vaccine, I would remember having chicken pox as a child.

If you are insinuating that a person lie, I remind people that chicken pox as an adult is often deadly. It is safe to get as a child. If I had never had chicken pox in my life, I would get the vaccine to save my life.

I'd get it too. But not if I couldn't afford it.

Anyway, the majority of people have had it I think. They just might not remember. Or maybe the doctor doesn't point out that they probably don't need it.
