Well i donated about 34K last year. Donate is not the right word. robbed by uncle same is the right word. Voluntary gave.... ZERO do I look stupid.. Of course I am not calling for tax hikes either.

Only the uninformed do not know that the MAIN reason we are in so much debt is because of the unnecessary Bush tax cuts.

The "fiscal conservative" Republicans have NEVER balanced a budget and it is impossible with our historically low tax rates.

Last "fiscal conservative" to run a surplus was Eisenhower. When? More than half a century ago! And somehow the right wing talk radio has brainwashed these Right Wing Nuts into thinking that the Republican Party is the party of budget surpluses and fiscal discipline. Truth is they are a fiscally reckless party.

BUSH 1, BUSH 2, REAGAN, FORD, NIXON were the last 5 Republican Presidents. That is 28 years of Republican Rule. HOW MAY OF THOSE 28 years did they run a surplus??? ZERO

My main issue is job creation and getting back to a surplus. So it is a NO BRAINER that I am a Democrat. DUMB UNINFOMRED FOOLISH HILL BILLY REPUBLICANS also claim their number 1 issue is job creation and erasing the debt / running surpluses. Difference is they do not understand reality or facts.

Here were the tax rates during 1957, more than a half century ago, when Eisenhower balanced the budget. No Republican has done it since and THEY NEVER WILL.

Today's 16k per year waitress was 1957's 2-2.5k (that may be generous as a guess) but your 200k income today would likely put you in the 1957 15-20k tax range.

The average annual income in 1957 was around $5K to $6K, so the tax rate would have been around 22%, that's not so bad. I'd take that over what I'm paying now.
