Ciao!

I wonder if there are people from Italy that could help with some doubts we have. Thanks a lot in advance :)

My American fiance and I had our NOA2 on August 17 (K1 visa). He got the NVC case number by phoning them yesterday, and today I emailed the Consulate in Naples to see if our file is there. I got an automatic reply stating they're going to answer in 5 days.

What should I do next? Are they going to mail me the instructions to follow up with the application? Or should I go ahead downloading Packet 3 from http://italy.usembassy.gov/visa/iv/application.html and following the instructions on there?

Also, I saw Packet 3 on their website includes form i-864. I'm pretty sure we shouldn't fill that out, right? Aren't you supposed to use the i-134 for the Affidavit of Support in the case of the K1 visa?

Any hint will be greatly appreciated... Thanks a lot! :)

Benvenuto nel forum.

At the consulate phase of the visa process, instructions and requirements tend to be consulate-specific. Consider posting your inquiry at the Europe and Euarsia regional forum for a more focused response.

Buona fortuna.

Ciao.
