We haven't moved from the NVC stage since July and it's killing me. I have been calling and calling and calling and it's the same thing. They gave us an RFE stating we sent in the wrong birth and police certificate. I spoke to a rep. and she told me they were going to forward it to a supervisor and that it would take up to 15 days. It's been more than 20 days now and my husband resent the orginal forms ( he requested them so they are original not copies and got them legalized how they wanted) they were receive on Wed. of last week and when i called yesterday they said they haven't received it and I was upset since we tracked the package. The rep. was also very rude and seemed annoyed with the calls. I wasn't in the mood either and I feel that if you are antisocial, then you shouldn't be working here and find a more isolated job. So I took none of her bs. I told her that it wasn't my fault that she was having a good day and that she needs to stop being such B.. because she doesn't make any decisions at the end of her day and her job is to respond to our inquiries in an appropriate manner. She got upset and didn't say much. I just hope she doesn't do anything to interfere with my case.

My husband on the other hand is to blame for this as well. I told his stubborn self to make sure he was sending everything he needed. He always uses his excuse of him not speaking or reading english. I spent 11 months with him in Argentina and I reminded him everyday the importance of him learning the english language. he didn't listen. He is just so stubborn. and no that he has no way out no he comes to me with his excuses. and i told him that I'm busy with school and family issues, since my father is severely ill, so i helped him get most of the information but I fell it was his responsibility to make sure that all the certificates were sent correctly. That's why we got the rfe in the first place. By now, our case could of been completed with him having his interview date. but no!

I haven't seen my husband since March and with all this conflicts at home and school, and looking for another job since mines was temp.(but my i-864 was approved) it's just so overwhelming. I just don't know what to do. I just want to leave everything and move on. Seems like we will never get this done. I don't want him here by december. I want him here now. this is just taking forever and it's frustrating to the point where I want to end my marriage. I know i made the choice of getting married at only 19, I'm 20 now, but since I'm stressing out so much, I just keep overthinking everything :(

if you don't have patience now, what would happen in the future. Take it easy

Tip for the future you shouldn't call ppl bad words if you need them to do something for you. Bc frankly that doesn't help the situation at all. And don't blame your husband for everything. I know of several ppl who sent the right documents the first time but NVC made them send it again saying that they were mistaken. I know one couple who went through this for almost 4 months until finally the US embassy in the fiance's home country contact NVC directly and told them it was the right document. I understand its hard trust me everyone here understands its really hard. Try your best to be patience and remember a marriage is supposed to be forever just a few months in the long run isn't so bad. Once you pass NVC it'll be much faster.

Good luck and I hope for your sake NVC approves your application quickly.

Wow.

Using the telephone doesn't work for you.

That sucks.

So, instead, I suggest once a day:

1. send off email to husband telling him to

--study more English

--study more English

--study more English

2. send off email to NVC asking them to

--review paperwork

--review paperwork

--review paperwork

IMO, you using a telephone is going to be meaningless. No One Give You what you want, when you use a telephone, so stop using it.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

If it helps read my timeline. We spent about a year at USCIS and a little over 4 months at NVC. Do not end your marriage over this you will be tested much more than this in life.

Totally agree with this. OP, Probably not a good idea to burn any bridges.

We all get agitated at our jobs, but she may just remember you and not want to be helpful at all the next time around and that will be of no benefit to you.

For educational purposes only

Your I-864 was not approved.

NVC does not approve I-864's....they only collect the document.

The I-864 does not get approved or denied until the interview stage.

Every day I learn something new here- so NVC just holds on to your I-864s until your interview is conducted then they say yes or no? I thought they processed the I-864s...hmmm... :bonk:

the iv is adjudicated at the embassy. the aos is required for the iv, so the embassy makes the final say about it.

I went through a similar situation with NVC stating that our certified copy was not accepted. I had to upload another copy and email it and copy the US Consulate in my country since they are familiar with our documents. Then I was so tired of calling and hearing the same thing about 15 days and bla bla bla. So after 20 days I sent the originals on the same day I sent (so they did not have the originals yet) they emailed me stating case was complete. However once they received the originals they change my completion date for one week later. Anyway...case completed on August 17th and I am waiting on an interview date.

This is hard for any couple. But if it is real love you should not give up easy like that..... Good luck to all!!!

Being so far away it's easy to find things that put stress on a relationship. I didn't know better at first, where i thought I needed to have my fiance's birth certificate and police clearance and cenomar before I filed. I didn't realize that even tho I could be the one filling out the G-325A for her, I can't sign it. The wording is misleading 'cuz it seems to say I can sign it but a NCSC rep said it has to be her. Waiting for the documents that I didnt even need, and then having to get her to sign some, prolonged me starting the process for about 2 months. I have been still waiting an NOA2 for over 8 months. We have endured her jealous friends trying to put ideas into her head that I don't care enough. We are 8000 miles apart and the cost to go plus needing time off work to go... idt I need to explain why it's not possible for many to be right there with a fiance like a normal couple going on dates. Just the physical part is missing and it's so hard to show you care from a distance. At one point we had an argument and she changed her mind to finish school there, but hoping I would wait for another 3 years to do so and leave things to chance. I was literally the night before I could call to withdraw my petition and she came around and said to continue things. It's the whole process that sucks. I could say the wait makes people appreciate it more when you can finally be together, but thats not always the circumstance.

Its only been 7 months, we waited 7 for our K1, 4 to get her organized to come to USA, 10 for our AOS and now waiting again because her GC was wrong when it arrived. Cowboy up and tell each other about how much you love each other but it is out of both of your hands for now. If you did not send the correct documents the first time make sure you understand the procedure and follow it to the letter. Make sure both of you read the facts here on VJ and the USCIS sites so both of you equally understands also first hand what is needed. Compare your time line to others and remember any estimates are averages. The people who seem to have the most problems, don't follow the instructions or can't / won't understand them and are unrealistic about the time, money and commitment this process takes.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.
