I received a text message last night around 10pm that our case status has been updated after sending back the RFE request on 08/24/2012 for more proof that we had seen each other within the last 2 years.

The website says:

Post Decision Activity

On September 5, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

:dancing::dancing::dancing:

Now just need to get ready for the rest of the journey.

what was the rfe for? kinda alarming to get an rfe so early in the game. i129f approval should be almost automatic when you're doing a k-1, petition would have to be horrible or wraught with fraud in order for it to be denied this early.

Quann-

They wanted more proof that Nhung and I had met within the 2 year requirement. I sent them more photos and a copy of my passport front to back as well as the same items I had sent previously - airline tickets, reservations for trip to Ha Long Bay and also to Roch Gia.

They seemed to be ok with what I sent as it didn't take long for the approval. I had called and talked to an agent when I got the RFE and she said that she thought what I had sent was sufficient so just resend the documentation and any other documents I wanted.
