About to travel - just checking

I received a year's B2 visa in London back in May and Saturday I finally travel. I am going over to visit my wife while she studies for a masters for a year (she is a US citizen with British permanent residency, been married four years and have every intention of coming back next year).

I just want to find out if there is anything I should prepare for getting through customs in the States? Those guys always make me nervous.

I have my passport, marriage certificate, documentation that all our things are in storage, proof of our funds and proof that I have a business partnership waiting for me in the UK. Is there anything else I should have prepared?

Also I saw that on the initial visit they can only allow me up to six months stay, is that correct as I was hoping to leave in May not March?
