GOT MY NVC CASE NUMBER

:dance: Called this morning . . . and was given the number . . . OH MY things are moving right along . . . ok, deep breath . . .

Now, (pls help peeps) I must start assembling the paperwork to send to him, the supporting docs and such . . by DHL (see I been reading). My questions are . . . At this point is there a fee I need to pay to the NVC? When should I start calling JA to see about the interview date? 2 Weeks, 3 Weeks? The NVC could not give me a time frame but did say that these types of petitions do not linger there . . .

Gosh, I am on the express train . . . Choo choo :dance:

Congratulations. You should look at your country specific portal. Each embassy does things different. Good luck to you.

06/02/2015-Called Service Center (still no NOA1) Service request found out wrong address on paperwork! :(

06/03/2015-Called to get address updated Ar11 online add change didnt work-got infopass for June 10th

06/10/2015-Went to info pass appt. Hubby got a 1yr. Extension stamp in his passport and biometrics done

08/12/2015-ROC Approved. Got letter in the mail.

08/29/2015-received new card in the mail.

The K1 visa does not have any fees at NVC. In about a week or so...you can start calling the NVC to see if a case number has been assigned. Some get assigned quickly...some take a likkle longer. Be patient...it will come. Then ask if its been sent to the embassy. Start there and then we can tell you the next steps. Good luck!

Sorry, if misunderstood . .I did receive my NVC case number this morning. It was not gone to the embassy yet . . wanted to know when I when I should start calling Jamaica . . Thanks for your help and reply.

ahhh...okay. So when it leaves for the embassy. About a day or so later you can email teh embassy DS230 Part 1. The next day or so...you should get an email that say "received and submitted". Then you a few days later...you can start calling the DOS and ask for the interview date. I'm also going to send yo a PM.

Here are some steps:

1. Call NVC and see if it has been sent to Jamaica.

2. In order to get interview date, your petition has to be in JA.

3. You are not able to call Jamaica, they will only reply to e-mail.

4. You can e-mail your DS-230 only scanned with his signature (believe me this is the only way they accept it)

5. Then you can call DOS

Phase I - IV - Completed the Immigration Journey

Just follow the steps outlined above by the other posters, but do not send the DS-230 Before you are sure it arrived at the embassy. Make sure when you email them, you include the NVC case number in the subject. Good Luck.

US Citizenship

February 2, 2016 - Package mailed

February 8,2016 - Credit card charged

February 9, 2016 - NOA1

March 1, 2016 - Biometrics Appt

March 29, 2016 - In Line for interview

April 1, 2016 - Interview Scheduled

April 4, 2016 - Interview letter received in the mail

May 10, 2016 - Interview Day! (Approved)

June 8, 2016 - Oath Ceremony
