My husband was asked "What do you love about your wife", and "What do you dislike about your wife"...... and what would he do if they didn't give him the visa? Among lots of other questions....From the way the interview went though, I think they had already made their minds up for the most part before he ever arrived but meeting him was the clincher for him to get the visa.

Never heard of the third question.. like you said they had already made their minds up.

I don't know how will mine go when there's gap age.. it'll not go smoothly for sure.

He was also asked many questions about my kids and family members, but we had spent so many countless hours talking online that he knew everything about them. He had also spoken to my kids and other family members on the phone. Have you spoken to her mom or anyone else in her family? Do they accept your relationship? You should've been talking on the mic all this time to improve your English. You can still start now...better late than never;)

I'll start when i'm done with doctor and translation of documents.. cause that's requiring me to travel to Casablanca.

I have to collect a big amount of questions and understand how interview goes.

Hope all goes well Zzzzzz with your interview....

Thanks. ;)

I don't use translate software or something like that.. This language is running my blood now.. and if i don't understand a slang word or something i tell fiancee to give me the right meaning.. I'm just shy to speak English and wanna be as good as the native speaker.. that's all.. and it's not gonna be a red flag i'm sure.

I was not implying that you personally used this software or some other means. I am saying: if your spoken English is so weak that you can't complete the interview in a convincing manner - while the written English in your correspondence is passable or even fluent - the consulate may suspect something. You don't want that.

Of course the consulate understands that people may feel shy or self-conscious or nervous in the interview. Many people feel this way. But you really really want them to understand that you are indeed able to communicate well with your fiancee in spoken conversations.

So as has been advised by several people here already, get all the practice in speaking that you can, so that you can show them that yes, you can speak English well enough - and then it will not be a red flag. You don't have to speak perfect English - the consulate does not expect that. You can even ask them to repeat questions or explain a word you didn't understand. Just keep practicing your conversational skills, and you will become much more comfortable at it. Good luck ! :thumbs:

You really did encourage me. i'll not be scared of the interviewer.. I'm just scared i may not convince him when i'm truly true., and don't want to make fiancee disappointed cause she counts on me. :(

I'll practice English in the last 15 days before the interview comes.. Thank you so much.

I know some may sound 'off' but it's the intent of the VO to actually be 'offputting' when a red flag is found in the casefile. So, rather than address, directly, that red flag issue, a VO will use these types of questions (above) in an effort to trip you up, make you stutter and stammer. If you cannot answer the questions directly and in a polite manner, a VO will find you inadmissible for a K-1 visa, claiming 'not a bonafide relationship' ..

<EOM>

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
