I would pay and send stuff as normal. That is what I did. here is what our timeline looked like:

08 Feb 2010 -- Paid AOS bill -- Sent 3032 by e-mail

10 Feb 2010 -- AOS bill shows "paid"

18 Feb 2010 -- Paid IV Bill (received e-mail on the 19th Feb)

20 Feb 2010 -- IV Bill shows "paid"

23-24 Feb 2010 -- Medical -- PASS!

02 Mar 2010 -- Sent AOS and DS-230 express

04 Mar 2010 -- Packages delivered

10 Mar 2010 -- AVR package received 9 Mar

15 Mar 2010 -- Called NVC...Expedite request APPROVED!

16 Mar 2010 -- SIGN IN FAIL!!

17 Mar 2010 -- AVR - CC 16 March

I was in the Philippines with my wife when I paid the AOS bill. I didn't get confirmation that I could actually expedite our case until I got back to the US the end of Feb. I sent the letter and both AOS and IV package the same time.

As far as waiting to pay the bill, I wouldnt wait because they may want you to send the packages to them so they can deliver the whole case to the Embassy. This stage of the process is totally up to how long you guys want to take to send in the information and pay the bills. If they accepted your expedite request by e-mail, you may be able to call the NVC and get an update as to if you guys get approved or not.

They said that NVC was done with the case - case closed or whatever they call it.

I assume now I will either have to send them to Auckland embassy, or send them directly there. Pretty happy now since I'm waiting on the police certificate anyway.

Yeah my guess would be that you would just take everything to the embassy during your interview. That is what one member did prior to us getting our stuff approved. They were about a year ahead of us in the process.

Well, since they approved your expedite, your case file should be leaving the NVC within 48 hours of the approval. Your case should be at the embassy within a week to a week and a half. I did the tracking that they show on here and waited about a week once it was there and called the embassy to see if they set up an interview yet. They gave me the interview date over the phone.

Good luck with the rest of your journey. It isn't long now.

I actually managed to ask them for the date that I wanted, and they gave it to me. This whole process has been excellent, let's hope it stays that way! All going well, should all be over in 3 months - and that's by choice as I wanted to stay in NZ to stay with my family for Christmas one last time.

As soon as I get there, I guess we'll go in and get my SSN and then try to get the expedited citizenship thing done.

That's great! Yeah you will want to start the expedited citizenship right away once you get to the US (as long as your husband has his orders.) I am pretty sure you need to have your greencard in hand before applying too, but that usually comes pretty quick after the POE. Good luck!

ecg19, congratulations for the expedites! Been reading about this process here, hopefully we will be as lucky :)
