I just received my notice of action i-797. Approval notice for my K-1 visa. I would assume next step is medical exam or scheduling of interview of my fiancee. However on the notice, it didnt give me direction on what I should do next.. Should I go ahead ask my fiancee to go to BPI pay the application fee of $240? Have her take a medical exam even though they didn't give us any instructions?

A lot of people went ahead and schedule their medical and interview without waiting for the notice from USEM Manila. I'm not one of those. I called NVC and got our MNL number but I'd rather wait for the notice coming from them. But either way it works according to the blogs and experiences I've read here. Call NVC and ask for your MNL number. Cheers!

After NOA2 they will send your petition to NVC. It usually takes up to two weeks to a month (time frame is a case to case basis) before they give you your case number. But you can call NVC from to check if they have assigned a case number already. You should have your case number first before you can pay at BPI and schedule for an interview. Once you have scheduled an interview, that's the time you can have the medical exam.
