Hi guys! My husband had his embassy interview yesterday. After the consul interviewed him, they took his passport and was given a form saying "wait til you hear from us."

Does any of you have any idea what this means or how long we will wait to find out if the petition is approved or denied? Please help. Thanks!

Its a 221g form. Receiving this form doesn't mean you are already denied. Its a way of the embassy if they need some additional documents to submit and or they conduct additional review. You should not worry so much. YOur husband will gonna receive his visa soon. The embassy might have some additional review for the application before they will issue the visa. Just make sure to call the embassy once or twice a week to follow-up your case. And to make sure that they really are working on it.

Thank you for reply. My husband said he received the MNL-IV 22 slip.

That means his name came up in a criminal database, they have to do additional checks to see if your husband is or is not the same person as that in the database.

As Mark Grismer said, he's never seen it before. Neither have I. So, there's no reason to scare people about something that is so highly unlikely.

In Manila, when the MNL-IV-22 says 'wait until you hear from us," the Embassy usually is ordering a CENMAR, a CENOMAR, a birth certificate, or a marriage certificate from the NSO, or another NBI report.
