I think that by the time I get to Albania (where we filed I-130), the embasssy will have received packet 3 from my husband. Do you think it's a good idea to go in the embassy to check on things (like whether or not they received the packet, if everything in it was ok, etc...)

We did DCF for I-130 for CR1...

Thanks!

Sure, there is nothing wrong with stopping in to check in. I always think it's better when you can go in person. :)

Have a great trip.. wouldn't it be wonderful to have the interview while you're there?!

Yes, it would be more than wonderfule, but I won't count on that happening since I am just getting the info out to my husband Friday and he'll probably receive it by Wed and then it'll get to the embassy probably a week later (so around Nov.7th). I get to Albania the 18 and will be there until the 25th.... I doubt he'll have an interview. Maybe I can ask at the embassy????

Sure, email them to tell them when you will be there and see if they can accomodate you.

Locally filed cases can move quickly; I would not hesitate to ask for what I want from them. :)
