Hi,

My case was completed on 15/08 at the NVC.

Does anyone know when does the NVC send the file to the consulate? is it once I have an interview date or is it before?

Just to mention that I didn't receive an interview date yet.

My case was sent from the NVC to the Consulate on the 16th of August, although I wasn't contacted to find this out, I called the NVC because I hadn't heard anything since recieving our NOA2 on the 3rd of August. I emailed the Embassy a few days ago to ask if they had received my case, as I still hadn't heard anything. They had tried to email my PKT 3 Dox to an incorrect email address??? so now I finally have my PKT 3 and can move forward.

Once you get your email from the Consulate with your PKT 3 instructions, immediately fill out the DS-230 Part 1 and send it to them. Once you have all the documents/evidence etc from your US fiancé that you will need for the interview, fill out the remaining forms listed in the PKT 3 and return them with the DSL-1076 statement of readiness to be interviewed, and within about a month they will schedule your interview.

I think you are a bit confuse - I'm a CR1 visa, not K1. My case was already completed at the NVC, just waiting for them to schedule an interview for me with the embassy in Sydney. It's not the same process as the K1.

Have you received your interview date yet?

As you can see my timeline,I received my interview date around 1 week.

You should call NVC everyday to find out your interview date.

Sorry, I don't know how to find out when my case is sending to the consulate.

If I am right, once your interview is assigned by NVC then your case will send to the consulate.

No, haven't received it yet... apparently they only started scheduling interviews this month on Thursday 12/09 and my hubby called every day since and before...not quite sure what is the hold up, they communicated they will be scheduling interviews until Thursday the 20/09. I also sent on Friday an e-mail to the embassy saying that the NVC is telling me that they are waiting for them(Sydney embassy) to give me an interview date....maybe that will help.

Oh and by the way you are right - only after they give me the interview date they send the file to Sydney.
