The operator at the NVC has says our K-1 processing has been completed and will be sent out to the embassy in Bogota soon,,,but the automatic response telephone system says they have no record of this number,,cis or nvc case number,,,what gives with this??

The automated response system is only used for those doing immigrant visas such as CR-1. Those doing K visas can only get updates and information on their case by talking directly with an operator.

Or Email them at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov provide USCIS case number, and name and DOB of beneficiary. They usually respond with in 48 hours.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

One thing I find in this process is: all systems doesn't work together. Even tho it is in the same department...
