Sending documents from Jamaica..Fed Ex?

I was wondering what is the best way to send documents back and forth that is not too costly? Yet still arrives in a reasonable amount of time?

I checked Fed Ex for an envelope from JA to the states (FL), and it was about $34.00. Does the regular mail offer express, or is it safer to use someone like Fed Ex?

The post office offers express mail service. Not sure of the cost.

Petitioner LPR upgraded to USC June 22, 2012
August 22, 2012: case complete
October 18, 2012: Interview (APPROVED)
October 26, 2012: Picked up visa from DHL (delay caused by Sandy)
December 15, 2012: POE Atlanta....................became USC July 2016!!!!

Mothers' Journey (My sister is the petitioner)

September 10, 2013: Sent I-130 (UPS next day service)

September 12, 2013: Received text to confirm delivery

September 16, 2013: Received NOA 1

March 22, 2014: Received NOA 2

April 8, 2014: File Received by NVC

May 26, 2015: Interview (approved)..........now LPR (delays caused by 2 RFE)

You can do express through the post office, costs about the same. I just recently did express guaranteed through the postal office. It did cost $73 to send a file folder with all of our papers,but to my surprise he got it the very next day. Called his phone and met him too. :thumbs:

November 19, 2010 - Met for the first time on first trip to JA

February 2011 - Second trip to JA

May 2011 - Third trip to JA

February 10, 2012 - Engaged on Fourth trip to JA

February 13, 2012 – I-129F Mailed: VSC

February 22, 2012 – NOA1

August 10, 2012 – NOA2

August 17, 2012 - NVC received

August 23, 2012 - Jamaican Consulate received

August 30, 2012 – emailed DS-230

August 31, 2012 - Consulate verified receipt of DS-230 by email

September 17, 2012 - Packet 4 received

October 4, 2012 - Medical Appointment

October 19, 2012 - Interview

My husband has sent anything I needed from the Jamaica via Fedex Next day for roughly that $34. I stopped trusting their postal service a loooonnnngg time ago.

I always use Fed Ex because I like to track it and they usually deliver it next day, but it's expensive depending how much you need to send.

I sent my package to my fiancee in the Philippines and I was able to track it every step of the way. The package was delivered 5 hours earlier that estimated. I was very pleased with the service. I marked on the package "immigration visa documents".

NVC received 8/27/12

Manila Embassy received 9/5/12
