Embassy sent ours august 3 and my fiance got it august 9 in the mail. But from what I've seen we got really lucky. Most people take about two weeks to receive from looking at other timelines. Either way everything is quick from here. We had to wait until august 13th to schedule our interview because the system was down. Even with that slowing us down we were able to get an interview for august 27 and had visa in hand by the 29. So for us it took one week to receive the letter in the mail and less than a month from consulate sending the letter to having visa in hand. I know that's more than you asked for but just throwing out information I was wondering about at your stage. Hope it helps!

You do not have to wait for the letter to begin filling out your forms and scheduling your appointments: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/ciudadjuarez/231771/PDFs/packetk1may.pdf

The letter points you to the website with the forms, found in my signature, and to the instructions and site where you make your appointments. That site is listed in the instructions I linked to in this post.

The letter will be needed in Juarez for the ASC appointment, medical and interview, but there is nothing in that letter that you need to begin filling out the forms and making your appointments.

You need to get your CDJ case #, invoice # and beneficiary ID # from the NVC before you can fill out the DS-260 by calling 603-334-0700.

Tranquila Mariana! Focus on the process, for now, and don't over stress yourself with the big day. One thing at a time.

Follow the advise Kay gave you and you will be ok good.gif

If it doesn't show up by the time you need to leave for Juarez, then you can show up at the consulate information desk early the morning after you arrive and ask to receive your invitation letter because you never received it and you need it for your ASC, medical and interview.

You can always get all the forms filled out and your documentation prepared and ready before scheduling the appointments. That can give the mail a slightly longer chance to get that letter delivered to you. It is sent to the USC and beneficiary. You can use the letter from either one of you. I am not sure how long from now you can schedule your ASC and interview for, but the letter should arrive in a week or 2. It is up to as to whether to start the process rolling now or wait for the letter to be in your hands first.
