sponsor needed?

My husband and I are waiting for our NOA2, so we've got some time till he gets his Greencard. But he has been offered a well paying job in engineering at a large US company, with an open start date, since they are aware of the immigration situation and accept it. Meaning, obviously, he will be able to support himself financially once he gets his Greencard and moves. He has an official offer, signed by 2 company representatives and himself, with all kinds of details, including salary.

Do we still need a sponsor? Are there ever any exceptions to this? I can't sponsor him myself since I have been living/working in Germany for the past 8 years and am currently at home with our kids.

Anh Map is correct.

You will still need to be the primary sponsor, and it sounds like you will need a co-sponsor, unless you have enough assets. No wriggle room there, sorry.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Thanks for the responses. Too bad we can't skip getting a sponsor and that aspect of the paperwork, but in the greater scheme of things I guess it's not such a big deal.

The job is SUCH great news for us. It's nice to have some "security" (anything can happen, I guess) since we are moving our entire life including 2 toddlers.
