Oh my! Being married to 2 women is against the law. And, the wife he marries first would be his only "legal" wife. If you enter knowing you are not fulfilling the requirement of the K1 visa (by not getting married and just staying) you are committing visa fraud! He is disrespecting you and therefore is not a best role model for a child. Keep your job, stay where you are at, and be grateful this happened now and not later!

Forget this foolhardy idea this man have put on the table, polygamy is illegal in the US, he wants to play U.

NO U cannot go to the immigration & ask for help with this idea, U obviously already have a child here some in the house

R now calling vacation babies, they would not approve this.

If ex-wife is that bitter she will just report U to ICE once U get here & there's no marriage & be a partner in raising your son.

If U go thru with K1 app. it would be a fraud since U have no intention marrying with him.

Keep your good life. kid & job, dad can see son during summers.

Get dad SS# so U can go to the foreign affairs dept. in your country & file for child support from your country.

Dont do the wrong thing then get deported , ban & lose your son.

No dont let this man cause you deportation and a ban, you cannot lie just to stay in the US think about your pride,

safety, the job you now have, if you come to the US with no job or money to care for your child CPS or that man will take

your child, wait until your son get to 21 yrs he petition you, in the meantime enjoy your country just be satisfied with visits

DO NOT under any circumstances accept his proposals of poligamy, it's illegal and you're a woman with your own life and own decisions. stand up for what you believe in and stand up for your son's right to have his father close. if he doesn't want to marry you and only you, then live your life in another way, with someone else, outside the usa, because you have to put YOURSELF and your son FIRST.

you can't stay in the usa without getting married to the person that petitioned for you. no explanation on earth will make them let you stay

Dear All,

Please i need your advise with regards to the below issue.

I was granted a fiancee visa which expires on 21 oct 2012, I have a son with my fiance who is an american citizen as he was born in America. My fiance was married before with 2 kids, when his ex found out that i was coming she was so bitter and jealous so she begged my fiance to get back together for the kids sake. My fiance wants me to go there and marry him but at the same time marry his Ex wife for the children sake through religious ceremony only. I totally refused and told him that i can never except that. I have the following questions:

a) Can i go to the USA so that my son can be closer to his dad but i do not want to marry him. What will happen to my status? can i go to the immigration and explain to them the issue? Will they help me considering i have a child with him. can I go and apply for child support?

B]I have good Job where i am i dont want to jeorpadise my Job to go to the states and be stranded. But i feel sorry for my son that he will grow up without knowing his dad. What do you guys sugest?

Thank you.

RUN!!! do not go to the USA, DO NOT LEAVE YOUR good job....raise your son right where your at. This man is a scam, and his wife is his associate. I would drop all contact with him....get child support if you can but otherwise good riddance!

I have the following questions:

But you already accepted it when you married him "through religious ceremony only" in the UAE prior to your K1 petition, while he was married to wife #1. Why the change of heart? Has he completed his divorce with wife #1?

a) Can i go to the USA so that my son can be closer to his dad but i do not want to marry him. What will happen to my status? can i go to the immigration and explain to them the issue? Will they help me considering i have a child with him. can I go and apply for child support?

As the others have told you, the K1 visa requires that you marry the petitioner within 90 days of arrival.

Know that any child support a US court orders will take the children from wife #1 into consideration first, then yours.

B]I have good Job where i am i dont want to jeorpadise my Job to go to the states and be stranded. But i feel sorry for my son that he will grow up without knowing his dad. What do you guys sugest?

Stay where you are. Your fiance/husband has a plan that only benefits him - not either 'wife' and not the children of his multiple 'marriages'. Multiple marriages are illegal in the US.

No, you can't.

As you have been told many times, the K1 visa can only be used for marriage.

Is this surgery not available in the UAE?

I am so sorry you are going through this but you need to respect yourself and your son.

You deserve a man who deserves you and this man does not!

In regards to coming to the US on your K-1 and leaving , while technically it can be done as no one will know when you enter on the K-1 that your plan is not to marry, it is not the intent of the visa and you could get in trouble later (though I do not know how).

I really wish you the best of luck.

If I were you I would stay in the UAE, have the surgery there and move on with your life.

If surgery for your son can only be performed in the USA (not available in your home country), then you could use your K-1 visa to help benefit your child, but you MUST return before the 90 days expiration. Don't ever overstay. Hope you would be strong to face your challenges and not complicate life with your Fiance -- who is not worthy of your pure love. Take care and God bless !

If your son needs surgery, you should get a B2 visa. How are you going to pay for expensive surgery in the US with no insurance? This surgery is not available anywhere else closer to you?
