Keep in mind that those are VJ specific terms. If you were to use those terms when speaking with USCIS, the person you would be speaking with would not know what you are talking about.

Correct, although an NOA2 can also be a denial notice (which is why it's better to say notice of adjudication decision).

Oh ok thank u very much guys ..I was all lost with that :)

I just got off the phone with USCIS customer service. I was told that the updated address status that I saw online is just a clerical thing. They updated their computer for some reason (possibly a typo on their end) and so it changed my status online.

I also mentioned that I couldn't check the processing times for the California Service Center because the Us Citizen Filing for Spouse was not listed. She said the times vary so much they can't keep up so they don't even post it. I'm not sure if that's true or not, but she did look it up for me right away.

Good news for anyone at the California Service Center is they are now processing applications from July, 11th 2012. She told me it would be a couple more weeks.

Thank you very much your post help me alot and answer my number 1 question ..which was why would they show the processing time for California service center for us citizen spouse. .

Anyone know any updated information about where the VSC is up to now in dates? I'm hearing all kinds of mixed info (one person said they are processing a week's worth every month, but also seen some June 12-15 filers getting NOA2's).

Any info would be appreciated! Our congressional inquiry was met with a big fat denial, so it's back to the land of waiting without much hope.....

26 Nov 2007: Married in Michigan
REMAINED ON STUDENT VISA 08-11
9th July 2012: I-130 filed

18th March 2013: NOA2 (252 days)
25th March: Case received at NVC
4th April 2013: Case Number assigned
9TH April 2013: NVC email received
11th April 2013: Expedite to Embassy approved

17th April 2013: Case recieved by Embassy

18th April 2013: DS-230/2001 sent direct to Embassy

30th April: Embassy 'can't locate' forms

Some june filers have been approved.. However, there are still lots of May, June 1st & 4th's that haven't even been touched yet...It do look like they are processing one week per month.. I'd say about the end of April, beginning of May we should hear something...

You will be surprised to see that they will be approved between 1-2 months as their cases are processed by National Benefits Center now. So they will be approved in front of us... frustrating, isn't it?

That is correct!!! Only filers that stuck with Vermont center will feel stress, pain of waiting, all others whom filed with NBC or others they are clearing up to August applications. Anyone who filed with Vermont from August 15th on will be transfer to other facility which they already get their approval by now.

Just look all application filed in July from California center, they all already been approved.

I called the other day and complained and told them if people from aug, sept, and oct are getting approved and i applied in july why do you have a date you are working with and i think she said they are doing aug or sept now for CSC, so why the delay. also they reconfirmed it doesn't matter when u apply because all cases are different. so makes me wonder, has your spouse already been to the US? if they have already visited the US, did they overstay? have they been divorced? the rep did tell me they go into these categories. so the people who already have been approved who filed after us their spouse must have never been to the US or ever married before? does this make sense? btw, my husband has been to the US and one of us is divorced so the rep said this is why it's taking so long :(
