I'm SOOOOO glad I found this forum!! I have felt so totally alone in this until coming across this forum yesterday.

Please forgive my ignorance...husband (U.S citizen) submitted all our documents etc for an I-I30 via an attorney in July 2012, and we have a 'filing' date of July 9th 2012. Since then we have been kept totally in the dark, and until recently felt that all would be fine so didn't really bother to educate ourselves on the process/names of forms etc etc. If anyone out there can help enlighten me on any one of the below questions I would be SO appreciative. We are struggling to get answers and are both worried and frustrated..

1) Is the NOA1 the same document which contains the receipt number? We never received an NOA1 but have spoken to USCIS who have confirmed we have filed and should have received NOA1 (maybe lost in the mail?).

2) Should we have received an NOA2 by now? Husband called USCIS yesterday and was told we have to wait around another 44 days?! (Presuming they meant for NOA2). We are already at almost 7 months.... is this normal??

3) What is the priority date?

4) I am currently pregnant (due June 23rd) and we initially had no concerns that I would be stateside by the beginning of June. However, given the exceptionally slow process (7 months and still NO NOA2!!!!) I'm starting to panic that I will be stuck in the UK to give birth. I am listed as a high risk pregnancy and wondering if that is a valid reason to apply for an expedited process?

Again, any advice or info you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Frustrated, pregnant, and alone :(

You might qualify for an expedite for a high risk pregnancy, but since you are the beneficiary and there is socialized healthcare in the UK, I'm not sure how well that is going to go. I've heard similar cases being denied. It is worth a try if you are interested in it. I'm sure you've already arranged for health insurance in America?

Yes, covered for healthcare in the USA from Jan 1st of this year. You are very right though, having a public healthcare service here does make the case weaker. Thanks so much for your response, I REALLY appreciate :)

Our attorney just spoke to USCIS and apparently things are REALLY delayed at Vermont. They are just now working on May 2012 filers, and have said it will be around 40 more days until our filed is reviewed :crying: Add that to the NVC wait time and he said we are looking at another 3-6 months from right now....so basically almost a year after filing. I'm absolutely heartbroken, it's just so unfair to have to wait so long when you do things the right way. Being pregnant with our first child makes it that much harder :(

40 days? Consider yourself lucky if you get 40.

Good luck!

Really? You think it will be even longer than that?? Has it only recently got this bad or has the timeline been like this for a while?

Thanks so much for your advice, I appreciate it (F)
