I just had our first baby last week (finally)!!! I plan on just waiting for the I-130, I do realize the i-129f would have been better if i did it same time as the i-130...thank you for your idea to write a letter to csc, it's worth a try..and baby has my husband's name on birth certificate with his last name, i hope that helps

I don't understand how can you submit I-129F when you're already submit I-130?. Isn't I-129F to filed for fiance? and by submitting I-130 you already told them you're married?. This would just delay extra extra times and confusion plus $$$$..........just my 2 cents.

In some case will or may take longer on several possible reason, if either petition or beneficiary in the past over stay his/her visa and or others related problem with DHS, or your name matched with one of their database during criminal and background checks. If this happen they will delay your case for further investigations and by you calling USCIS operator or tier 2 supervisor will not have an answer unless it's a denied or been rejected due to others circumstances. My best advises is contact/write to your congressman and explain your situation.

An I-129F can also be used for a K3 visa and it is free to submit with an I-130.

Been a lurker for quite sometime....our NOA1 was on July 2, 2012. Got our approval on March 4, 2013. the weird thing was it initially said "alien registration number was changed" then two days later it showed it was approved on March 04....when I saw that man...I felt so light....it was a long wait hopefully the rest of the way won't take much longer. Yeah VSC is really backlogged, my wifey and I kept on fighting the urge to call then boom we saw the approval.

That's good news! It means you're going to get an RFE, and as soon as you respond to it, you should hear back with an approval within a few weeks (assuming you respond with the correct info). Keep a look out in the mail, because the only way you can know what you need to send in is by reading the snail mail version USCIS will send to the USC address. good.gif Good luck!

This probably won't be much of a condolence to most, but the processing times on the USCIS website have been updated. VSC is at July 2nd, and CSC is at July 5th. Fingers crossed for some more approvals soon! good.gif
