Been a lurker for quite sometime....our NOA1 was on July 2, 2012. Got our approval on March 4, 2013. the weird thing was it initially said "alien registration number was changed" then two days later it showed it was approved on March 04....when I saw that man...I felt so light....it was a long wait hopefully the rest of the way won't take much longer. Yeah VSC is really backlogged, my wifey and I kept on fighting the urge to call then boom we saw the approval.

Because this process drives me a little nuts, I've gone in and identified every receipt number that filed a I-130 on the same day I did. There were 74 filed that day (July 31), and as of earlier today there were 30 applications that had been dealt with - either to issue an RFE or an approval, including the two numbers right before mine! I hope this means that an approval is right around the corner!

Sorry still confused ... How did you do this ??

02/13/13 - NOA1 hard copy

say your number ends in 120...just change those last few numbers, so it would be 121, 122, 122, etc. It will say in the blue bar what type of form it's for, when the last update was made, and what the current status is.

I believe the receipt numbers are consecutive, so if you type in one number before/after yours you get the person one before/ after you and you just keep on going like that.... I think ...

Thank you.

so you think to email or send a letter in the mail? I did send an email 2 weeks ago and their response was "the required background checks for this case remain pending" I want to send a copy of the birth certificate but do you think it would do anything at this point. i'm so frustrated!!!!! I called CSC today saying i'm all alone with a newborn and i can't go to palestine because of horrible conditions and lack of safety, of course no one will ever care...i don't know what to do...

I suggest you call again and request to have someone from Immigration department. USCIS representative then will transfer you to immigration department..it will take about 30 minute most on hold...once you are connected with some1 from immigration department then state your situation and tell them that you are US Citizen , my petition must have approve within 5 months , however due to overload appicants this past year I understand CSC having hard time but it has been 8 months and yet CSC saying that they are currently checking my background...past 2 months i suffered a lot and i still am bcuz i now have new born baby and my husband is not here. these are true basic fact of your current situation...also same thing u do by sending another email...keep in mind IT IS YOUR RIGHT ...it is not ur fault that your case is not approve.. in my understanding U SHOULD BE APPROVED by now...it is their fault that they did not even touch ur case lately...just get on their nerve every other day...U will be approve soon..trust me...i filed for my wife n my priority date was JULY 31st 2012... n all of those who file from 1st AUG to now at CSC their file had been transfer to another local service where process time very limited...their file had been approve within 90 days...write a email..call them ... dont be afraid...they cant delay ur process..i m sure u will be approve by MID APRIL month..

You need pay close attention while going forward/backward checking other cases make sure it's I-130 and not something else. Because every form is in different category and approval processing time.
