I just got back from a quick weekend trip to JA and I now have what I need to send the I-129 Packet off. I want my fiance to get his police report ASAP because he is not sure if anything will show up on there or not and I figure it will be best to find that out before we have invested any more into this.

I have read MANY times that you can only pick up the report in Kingston (Duke St), however I have heard and read that NOW it is available in a few other locations as well. http://www.my-island-jamaica.com/how-to-obtain-a-police-record-in-jamaica.html

He is almost 4 hours from Kingston, so if there is a more convenient way such as the St James station in Mobay, it would be much easier. Someone posted on here they were able to pick theirs up in St. Mary, which is one of the stations listed...any help is appreciated.

Here is the link, you need to wait until you have been approved for NOA2 before you obtain certificate because it is only good for one year.

There will only be something on his police report if he has been convicted of a crime and/or served jail time.

the police certificate is only good for a year and its very much likely that it will be good leading up to the interview if you file anytime soon, it doesnt really cost much so if he wants to go ahead to see if he is clean, he can try doing the express for $2000 and he should get it back within a week. he can do it in montego bay and pick it up same place in a week time. If he has been convicted or anything like that, im told it might take a bit longer.

Thanks, I was hoping it could all be done in Mobay since Kingston is such a hike. I would rather have him get it now because he has never been to jail but has been brought to the station once or twice and he is not sure if it will show up on the report or not since it was minor. That is the only thing that could possibly keep this from not happening, so keeping my fingers crossed!

Thanks for the info!
