Hello,

My fiancée is scheduled for interview for K-1 visa at Mumbai, India consulate. We have nothing to hide and are genuinely going to get married as soon as she arrives. However, I've heard some nice and some horror stories about K-1 interview at Mumbai. Can any member shed some light on this process and their recent experience with Mumbai consulate please? Also if someone is aware of recent approval rate for K-1 at Mumbai, please post that as well. I really appreciate your help on easing the anxiety!!!

Thanks

we also have an interview on sept 6th... soon ... and we have heard the same thing, but go in there tell the truth, and tell her if she doesnt know the answer to a question not to guess, to tell them she dosent know the answer... that was one thing we got advice on.... remember they are only people too, and there job is to protect the US, and they really do want you to be together,... just be honest and calm.... good luck........ =)

Be truthful and honest, and don't try to hide anything because they will probably dig it up.

We had our interview on Aug 16th. My fiance was approved by the CO at the interview but then we found out (through DOS) that we were put on AP. There was no reason given either.

Anyways, 2 weeks after the interview, the visa was issued, and she just picked it up today. We can't wait to get married to each other and start our lives in the great state of Texas next month.
