Timescale for NO1A from London

Hi,

Was just wondering if anyone could give any advice about the following. We submitted our I-130 on August 13th 2012 as a DCF to the London embassy, and it was signed for on August 14th. On August 18th a charge for the visa fee was place on our credit card, however we have still not received any notification that our application has been received. Its over three weeks since we sent it, and I'm starting to panic a little. Does anyone else have any experience with time frames on receiving their NO1A from the London embassy? Thanks so much!

Lots of people never got NOA1 from London. Did you provide the page G-1145 http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/g-1145.pdf with your email address? We received NOA1 by email.

We received all of our updates via e-mail. Best/fastest way to do it.

We posted ours the first week of July and were approved in the middle of August. We didn't receive a NOA1 or any other notifications by post or email.

Hang in there, I know it's hard to wait.

Hi Everyone,

Yes - we supplied our email address, and the G-1145 form so that's why I'm a little worried that they haven't emailed...

I'm guessing somehow that we've just been forgotten. The fact that they have processed the visa fee makes me optimistic that its in the queue to be processed, but the fact that we have no NO1A makes me a little nervous.

What date did you mail it in? It's probably close to being processed by now.

I mailed it on August 13th (got married in the morning, and mailed all the documents in the afternoon). The package was tracked and was signed for on August 14th. The credit card bill shows a visa fee charged on August 18th.

Thanks again everyone for your responses. Am crossing fingers that like Peabody 2 - they have forgotten to send the NOA1 out.

Well I filed on 4th September and got an email response on 8th September, so it's working for me. I do hope you get some response soon.

I was just looking at the processing times for 1-130s and they seem to have gone backwards. On Aug 28th they were processing applications received July 16th - Now on Sept 17th they are processing applications received July 14th. Am a bit gutted....

Yes I noticed that weird backwards date change too...especially gutting as ours got sent off today. The wait begins...

I just wanted to let you know that my I-130 has just been approved (21st September 2012), and was received by the consulate on the 14th of August. I think someone made an error when posting the new processing times and write July instead of August. Looks like the time frame is still around 5-6 weeks.

That is great news, and and would make more sense instead of it going backwards

We originally intended to file this in august, but didn't bank on my wifes UK passport taking a ridiculous 11 weeks to arrive - we couldn't file the i-130 without a photocopy of it! Renewal/name change for her US passport via the embassy took a more reasonable 3 weeks.

It takes as long as it takes I guess

As of September 26, 2012, we are processing petitions filed on August 28, 2012

Seems to still be very quick! (yes I am impatient)
