I got my K1 visa, I'm now in the USA, we got married a week or two ago, about to file for my adjustment of status.

on the form i-184, the affidavit of support, part 5

part a) - the number is 1, as that's how many people she's supporting, just me

part b) - she leaves it at 1, herself

part c) if she is married she must enter 1

but then for part h, that makes our total household size 3? that surely doesn't make sense, any obvious thing i'm missing here?

If you read the Part 5, and number 21, it says "Your household size-DO NOT COUNT ANYONE TWICE" So She would put you as 1, her as 1 whcih makes 2. But she would put 1 for part c but not count that number, beacuse that would be counting SOMEONE TWICE. So your total household is 2, hope it makes sense.

Yes, you overlooked the bold print saying "Persons NOT sponsored in this affidavit."

21 C is for counting a spouse that is not being sponsored.

In part h, you should put 2. The form is clearly stated in part 5 that: "Persons NOT sponsored in this affidavit", it means that other persons than in line 10 should be counted in this part, but because you're already counted in line 10, no need to count it again in part ©.

Hope it helps and wish you all the best!
