Why every time I look the 'Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between' date keeps getting pushed further an further away ? It started out in February an now its March can someone please explain.

When should I start calling to get my case number ?

Please keep in mind this is just an estimate time frame VJ gives you. This isn't 100% accurate.

Also you just filed 13 days ago. You are look at about 5-6 month just for an approval. So you have a while to go.

Patience is the key for this process.

Good luck!

When should I call NVC to get our case number ?

first you must wait for USCIS to approve the petition, then the petition will be sent to NVC.

Then you can begin calling for your consulate case number.

I have the NOA1. How will I know when its aproved ?

Have you gone to the USCIS.gov website and registered your receipt # (thats the EAC XXXXXXX). There you can sign up for email and text notification. Thats how you will know you are approved about 5 to 7 months from now. And of course the hardcopy notification in the mail at that point. Afetr that approval than you can call away to NVC.

Also you have to realize the adjudication dates are estimates here on VJ based on people who do file in timelines. So everytime someone inputs a NOA1 dates get pushed. BUt you still have a good wait ahead be patient.

When USCIS notifies you, in about 5 or 6 months from now. You will receive a second notification (referred to as NOA 2) saying that they have approved your petition (assuming everything will go smoothly without any hiccups).

There's NOTHING you can do now, other than wait and educate yourself on the next steps. Here's the K1 Flowchart and the K1 Guide and some K1 Tips

The more you look at the dates changing on your Timeline, the crazier you will drive yourself.

Don’t pay too much attention on your VJ timeline because sometime it's not 100% accurate…right now make yourself busy for collecting evidence of on-going relationship and read some other question here in VJ forum to learn something new all the time.

right now just sit back and relax :jest::dancing::dancing::idea::clock: :clock: :clock:

Good luck!!!

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

Notice on the timeline that there is a star ( * ) next to the dates estimated, and not a quarter of a page below is this disclaimer:

* Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences

(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.

Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily

predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing

times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing

briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not

rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application

is past due.

Hopefully that answers your question.

Please keep your eyes on something else than the timelines on VJ. Look at the processing time on USCIS's webpage and don't expect to hear anything from them until approx 5 months after your NOA1 date. You're in for a looong, loooooong wait if you start checking the timelines already. If you do hear from USCIS before that time, it's more or less luck.

:)

When should I call NVC to get our case number ?

Take some time to read all the guides provided to explain the process. Make notes and bookmarks for information. You asked this same question 4 days ago and I and others answered it.

A reminder of that answer

Look over this summary http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow

NVC is Step 5 and you'll likely reach that next March.

The times aren't that accurate, so don't count on them. Everything in #7-13 is best learned from the UK forum because it doesn't work exactly like the flowchart. Each consulate is different so learn the exact steps for London.

As far as the timeline prediction goes, it can change every time a K1 with Vermont Service Center makes a change to their timeline. It is always recalculating as new people add their data or people get their petitions approved. If Vermont slows down, then approvals slow down and your prediction will push farther out. If Vermont starts cranking out petittions like crazy, it will show up eventually in your prediction date. It's all mathematical and a guess.

Also when you are in the K1 forum and you read about approvals, they aren't talking about the whole visa being approved. They are speaking of getting their petitions approved so the foreign fiancé has permission to apply for a visa. That was also explained to ou in this thread you started.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/386690-k-1-can-take-3-6-months/ Y

You will feel more confident when you learn the process instead of floundering around lost. If you want to review your previous posts to see if you got additional answers-- look at the top right corner and click your user name. From the drop down, click My Content and it will bring up all your threads you started or replied to.

Most likely Robin will be with you early next summer and not before.
