Got our interview today! (Not good..)

Yeap, after like 3 years we finally got our interview. I dont think it went well.

As you see my husband is British, and he was at the London interview. He said they were positive except about our finances. I think I sent him unprepared by accident. I sent him my W2's and taxes, but forgot to send my fathers (co-sponsor)

They still took his passport at the office and took his 16 quid to mail it back. But they said they needed to review the case a little more. (Plus for some reason after 1 month his medical review hadnt made it the 2 blocks down the street yet)

How will they contact us?

By email or just send his passport home?

Kind of bummed

I know my timeline sucks, but my husbands P.O.E was on January 7th, 2013!

Greencard in hand! After almost 4 years, WE DID IT!

Is it mandatory to bring tax information? I think not, it was just an added bonus. Which in the end was useless. But that wasnt the issue that made me nervous. It was just something I thought of. I find your reply rather rude and useless. TA

At the time I made this thread, my husband had not yet come home. I will add an update here.

1) No one asked for proof of a relationship. Maybe because we're been together so long? I dont know.

2) He had his medical review in Knightsbride last month. And the embassy STILL doesnt have his results.

3) Apparently I filled out the 2010 AoS wrong. This caused an issue.

But they still took his passport? Whats could it mean?

When you go to the interview, do they normally tell you a yes or no on the spot? Or is there waiting?

your post implied that you forgot to send your co-sponser form not your W2s

They usually tell you yes or no on the spot, but not always. That they kept his passport is a good sign. Did they give him a piece of paper saying exactly what was needed? It sounds like they are ust waiting for the co-sponsors info and the medical results and then, unless there is an issue with either, they will issue the visa.

Yes they tell people on the spot that they are approved. But without a medical report, they can not give approval. That report should have been received from Knightsbridge no more than 4 days after the exam, unless the clinic asked him to provide more information from his doctor. So a call to Knightsbridge is in order. Perhaps the embassy mislaid it. Find out if it was sent.

If there was a problem with the support part, they would have given him a paper saying what was needed and would not have kept his passport. When more evidence is needed, London generally says they will contact you when they have the evidence so you can courier the passport back to them. Sometime people send the evidence and passport together by courier.

Thanks guys, I'm feeling a little better.

1) The knightsbridge report hasnt come through due to a paper they need from his GP. He will be ringing his GP to inquire about that tomorrow.

2) He was not given a checklist or paper asking for any more evidence.

Of course its my luck that we wouldnt get a reply on the spot =(
