Today Hicham and I drove down to Goleta California for his biometrics appointment. Since he started working at a restaurant his hands have been burned pretty badly and they haven't gotten any better really but we had our fingers crossed that they would be able to get something out of them anyways. The man who did them said there is a 99% chance of them being rejected so yay! He told Hicham that but Hicham didn't really understand so we had left the office then he said I think he told me they are going to be rejected so we went back in to ask about it and he said he thinks they are not going to work.

Anyways I asked what happens next and he said you will receive another notice for a new biometrics appointment. Well I don't think his fingers will be better anytime soon so I asked what happens if those are rejected also and he said after two times they take a different approach. I don't know what that means.

So what I am wondering is has anyone had their fingerprints rejected twice and if so what happens after that? The man said "if he doesn't have fingerprints he doesn't have fingerprints, it's not his fault".

Another thing I am pretty annoyed about is that we received NOA1 for I-485 and biometrics appointment however the online status of I-131 and I-765 says "our notices were sent back because the post office said they are undeliverable" or something like that. I called USCIS today and was on the phone for over an hour confirming my name, my phone number, our address and that I am Hicham's wife over 15 times for each question... she jsut kept asking me the same damn questions for like 30 minutes! In the end I think she said they will be resent but who really knows. I am worried because we have an RFE on the way and I don't want it to be returned as "undeliverable".

Ok sorry that was way too long... just wondering what they do for biometrics if he doesn't have fingerprints after the second appointment.

Thanks as usual!

Sarah

I think you have to have a local police background check done if the fingerprints don't work.

BTW - I used to live 5 mins walk from the ASC in Goleta. The Chinese shop next door sells imported English food. :)

Sarah put your name on your mail box.... sometimes mail is returned because there is no Name on the mailbox. This is what happened to my Greencard, once the name was on the letter was delivered... you might also want to make an infopass appointment to ask then to redeliver the letters... this is the fastest way to get them once they have been returned undeliverable.....

Good Luck

Kezzie

Well the thing is that his name and my name have been clearly written inside of the mailbox for 3 months. What I don't get is why we have gotten 2 things, but the other 2 are undeliverable.... I am going to say it's because the past few days I have seen a new mailman however that is not really a good reason for the post office to say it is undeliverable as his name is in our mailbox.

I am going to wait a week or so for the RFE and NOA1's and if they don't come I'll make an infopass appointment.

Aww good old Goleta. I didn't know that about the Chinese place I'll check it out next time. I am from Goleta and went to DP. We ate at Cajun Kitchen for breakfast naturally.

5 years. 4 in Goleta (Ellwood Beach area, not IV), and 1 year in downtown Santa Barbara. When I first came to the USA I worked for UCSB.

Oh ok Elwood is a great area.... I am so sad they are building houses next to Sandpiper... I used to take my dogs there all the time. I couldn't believe all the houses they are building there... it's really too bad. Downtown Santa Barbara is a great place to live! It's nice to see someone who lived in the same area as me! I am in San Luis Obispo now... just graduated from Cal Poly. Are you in Pennsylvania now?
