Question for you guys... if we were to have received an RFE, would we have received it prior to transfer?

Or a better question... how many did NOT receive an RFE before transfer and wound up receiving one after transfer?

Well I couldn't wait til tomorrow and technically it has been over 180 days. I need a life, honestly...... I rang USCIS and was on hold for about 2 bars of that horrible music after going through all the talk at the beginning. :dance: Barely got to dance to it.... :dance:

PROGRESSS!!! Well the lady, who I must say was really really nice and helpful and seemed to know what she was talking about, has put in a service request on both mine and my daughter's applications. I know I shouldn't be getting excited, it really is nothing... But, seeing a lot of people who have filed waaaaaaaaay after us and getting approved and on with their lives fully, and having no real rhyme or reason to the system gets, to say the least, a little bit frustrating. :unsure:

Sooooooooo I should know at least something within the next 30 days on both of our cases.. WOOHOO... :thumbs:

Like a starving man getting a crumb of bread, honestly. :blush:

Somewhere in time the CSC email was given out. So we emailed them and this is the response:

From: CSC-XII.485@dhs.gov

The I-485 at question is still pending FBI name check clearance. Once the file

has been cleared by FBI, the file will be adjudicated. The Service has NO control

on how long it takes FBI to clear the case.

Center (CSC) no longer accepts inquiries from the general public via

email. All inquiries must be submitted to the National Customer Service

Center by calling 1-800-375-5283. The National Customer Service Center

will route your inquiry to the appropriate USCIS District Office or

Service Center, and will track your inquiry to a final resolution. If

you've received a transfer notice regarding your case please inform the

National Customer Service Center at the time you submit your inquiry.

The National Customer Service is available Monday through Friday, 8:00

AM to 5:00 PM, PST. Thank you.

Thanks - I really appreciate it. I've emailed them again giving them the information Annie did. I didn't include the A number last time or his middle names, although I don't see why they still couldn't have asked if they needed them or given me an answer with receipt number. It just gets so frustrating to deal with a system that is so inconsistent with their answers and information. It would take someone 5 minutes to find our case and go o, yeah, they're on namecheck (assuming we are) and send me an email. Adjucating officers should be required (in my opinion) to provide accurate updates on a case when it is inquired about; this is OUR case after all and their witholding of information seems completely unjustified to me.

You would think with the amount that is charged for the application fees that we'd get a better service. I don't like the idea that you get feedback on the phone or via email (to the CSC) based on which employee answers. It should be one or the other; feedback or nothing. I know there's alot of people who are getting their pennies worth, hence their rapid approvals.

So far, I'm 5th on the list of people waiting and just hope I don't go any higher!

28th May 06 - Arrive in Texas!

8th July 06 - Married!!!

3rd August 06 - EAD received at USCIS

29th August 06 - Biometrics

18th September 06 - Case (AOS) transfered to CSC on 9/14 (advised by mail)

4/6/10th October 06 - EAD touched!

11th October 06 - Email from USCIS - EAD Approved on 10/10! Card on the way!

16th October 06 - EAD card received!

16th October 06 - EAD Application email received confirming letter to be sent.

22nd February 07 - Email sent to USCIS requesting an update.

5th March 07 - Case touched! AOS is now "pending" at the CSC! Progress!

5th March 07 - Email from CSC confirming I am awaiting the results of the FBI name check.

27th April 07 - Email received. A notice requesting additional info has been mailed.

4th May 07 - RFE letter arrived.

21st May 07 - RFE docs returned to USCIS by mail.

6th June 07 - Email from CRIS saying RFE received and case processing has resumed!

26th June 07 - Phone call from a USCIS officer at the CSC in California asking for a copy of my I-94 by fax.

27th June 07 - InfoPass appointment at 745am.

12th August 07 - Email from CRIS - Green Card on order as of 8/11!

15th August 07 - Email from CRIS - Welcome Notice sent.

18th August 07 - Welcome Notice Received.

20th August 07 - GC received!
