11/19/08 - documents received by USCIS

11/25/08 - check cashed

12/10/08 - Biometrics letter

12/19/08 - second Biometrics letter

12/26/09 - went to Boston for Biometrics Appointment - THEY WERE CLOSED!!!!!!!!!

01/13/09 - Biometrics Appointment in Boston

01/13/09 - several phonecalls to uscis to find out where my extension letter is - will send out extension letter which will take up to 3 weeks

01/21/09 - phonecall to uscis about the extension letter. They are still working on the service request! told me to go to an infopass

appointment

01/22/09 - went to SS office to get a new SS-card. They won't issue a new one because me GC expires in 2 weeks.

01/22/09 - talked to the Office of my congressman. They will look into the issue and call me back - hopefully!!!!

01/26/09 - talked to the Office of the congressman. She read an email to me from USCIS stating that they sent out the letter on Friday!

They said I should have it in 7 days! So now we wait.....again!

01/29/09 - extension letter received!

05/15/09 - Removal of conditions approved :) ..waiting for actual card now :)

06/01/09 - Card in the mail!

Welcome twopens and expatrica. Expatrica, :time: there's hardly anything in it. There is no info about your NOA1 dates, biometrics, whether you have applied for EAD or not...nothing.

Khan looks like you and I are lost in never never land together. Mine was last touched Septmber 18th and that I am sure is because I had biometrics done the 16th. I'm still waiting on an email saying it was received in CSC. :wacko: can't help but be frustrated.

OK Looks like someone started working on my case, since it was touched yesterday, but online status still says the same. I'm hoping for a good news soon. I have my fingers crossed for everyone else.

90 days of frustrating silence with our AOS application and suddenly, out of the blue, today we got a TOUCH!!!

:dance: :dance: :dance:

So whether or not they were just blowing the cobwebs off or were just moving it into another pile marked 'ignore', we at least know now that somebody breathed on our stuff and it hasn't fallen into the garbage or been sucked into a black hole....

woohoo!!!

Now all I need to know is *why*...

Typically you will get an update to your status message that says "your case is now pending at our California Service Center" etc etc. We got transferred in October and didn't get that email until well into November whereas a majority of people got it within a few days, so I don't know what is up with that. Calling the infoline typically will not be any help to see if CSC actually got it (it was zero help to me) so you just have to wait until they email you/update your message to say it's at CSC.
