Heya Peeps. sorry for being MIA, I flew up to Chicago yesterday morning to pick up my daughter from the airport and our flight for the trip back got cancelled, so we stayed there the night, yay. Just what she needed after flying for more than 17 hours, a sleep on the airport floor. sheeesh. But we are home now and I am off to bed, to catch up on some much needed sleep.

But before I go, congrats to the new approvals and welcome to the new transferrees, it got a bit quiet there for a while. And thanks, Ridley, for taking up the slack, I thought I was going to be back by 10 last night.

AOS transfer only transfers your I-485, so it won't impact your AP in any way. You just have to hope you get it in 2 weeks.

Hello Everyone!

I recently got my EAD and hopefully I can find a job soon. My husband is still in Nursing School and (hopefully) it will be over in May at the same time he works in a hospital here in TX as a Nursing Tech. He plans to quit his job to focus on his studies. But since that I dont have my GC I worry that my AOS will be denied if they find out he quit his job this end of December.

Could anyone help me find a better way to expedite my AOS or if theres any other way? My husband is really decided to quit his job soon. Please advice.

Hello Everyone!

I recently got my EAD and hopefully I can find a job soon. My husband is still in Nursing School and (hopefully) it will be over in May at the same time he works in a hospital here in TX as a Nursing Tech. He plans to quit his job to focus on his studies. But since that I dont have my GC I worry that my AOS will be denied if they find out he quit his job this end of December.

Could anyone help me find a better way to expedite my AOS or if theres any other way? My husband is really decided to quit his job soon. Please advice.

AOS & EAD Received date 9-8-06

NOA1 09-13-06

TRANSFERRED TO CSC 09-23-06

BIOMETRICS 09-29-06

EAD APPROVAL NOTICE 11-30-06

EAD CARD RECEIVED 12-07-06

If you got transfered to CSC in September I would expect that you will get approval soon unless your stuck in the FBI name check hell ... There is no other way to expedite your AOS, being transfered to CSC is an expedite in it self ...

08-24-06 - AOS/EAD mail to Chicago (Day 1)
11-06-06 - GC & Welcome Letter arrive in Mail (Day 75)

I-751
09-23-08 - Sent Package via USPS (Day 1)
01-02-09 - Received GC in mail (with wrong Resident Since date) (Day 101)

if you go to the gallery up top on the left hand side click on it ..and all the cards you are likely to receive are in there... i was cheesed that the pic they used was the one taken at the bio instead of the ones i sent in ..they were so much better lookin lol...

come on CSC we need to beat novembers total....25

REMOVING CONDITIONS

11th Aug 2008 - Mailed I-751 to CSC.

12th Aug 2008 - Application received

14th Aug 2008 - Cheque cashed

18th Aug 2008 - Received NOA-dated the 12th

26th Aug 2008 - Received Biometrics letter

4th Sept 2008 - Biometrics-Detroit-Complete-'Touched'

5th Sept 2008 - 'Touched'

1st Dec 2008 - APPROVED-Card production ordered -112 days

8th Dec 2008 - USCIS mailed approval notice.

8th Dec 2008 - Received my 10 year Greencard in the mail. took 2 days.

Although I have the above date for approval my card actualy states the

2nd December..

14 August 2006 - Approved!!!! :-)

21 October 2006 - Married in the mountains of North Carolina!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AOS Application

6 November 2006 - Applied for AOS, EAD and AP

09 Decemeber 2006 - e-mail received to say case was trasferred to California

16 December 2006- biometric appointment in Charlotte, NC

20 Jan 2007 -AP approved

24 Jan -EAD approved

28 June -Green card ordered

7 July wedding celebrations in Scotland

Hey Kath,

Actually the job is pretty much the same thing as I was doing in Canada ... The biggest part is I have less responsibilities and don't have 8 people working under me like I did at my old job ... All I have to worry about is myself and possibly a helper in the future ... Ohh and the bonus is I am making more money here than I was in Canada :) ....
