12th Aug 2008 - Application received

14th Aug 2008 - Cheque cashed

18th Aug 2008 - Received NOA-dated the 12th

26th Aug 2008 - Received Biometrics letter

4th Sept 2008 - Biometrics-Detroit-Complete-'Touched'

5th Sept 2008 - 'Touched'

1st Dec 2008 - APPROVED-Card production ordered -112 days

8th Dec 2008 - USCIS mailed approval notice.

8th Dec 2008 - Received my 10 year Greencard in the mail. took 2 days.

Although I have the above date for approval my card actualy states the

2nd December..

I got this, the updated date was 11/18/06, but not sure exactly what it means:

Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.

On October 13, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case is at our MISSOURI SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

That's the first I've heard of it being at MSC. Is that a transfer message? Does this mean we won't have to go for an interview since it went to MSC instaid of the local providence office? Also, I don't see MSC listed on the list of service centers where you can check the dates they are processing! So confusing....

The preliminary processing is done at MSC, and then your case is transferred, either to your district office or to CSC. It doesn't appear that you're at that point yet, but hopefully you will be soon!

Conditions Removed! Ten-year green card received 6/24/2009. No more USCIS for a very long time.

Just a little update from my endless case:

As I posted before, I had been told that the "projected processing timeframe for this kind of case" (= for cases transferred to CSC) is supposed to be "180 days from the date of the transfer".

Well, in my case these 180 days expired yesterday, so today I called the "(Mis)information hotline.

After lots of double checking whether I really hadn't received any written notice from them within the last 60 days, or whether I really hadn't gotten a REF request and responded to it recently (no, I really didn't :wacko: ), the lady finally realized, that my case was really outside their processing times, and she told me she is "putting an inquiry on it" and that I would be notified within 3-4 weeks. She gave me an inquiry number, too.

So far so good, at least someone will hopefully take a look at my case now :angry:

The only thing is, I am not sure how to proceed now.

Should I wait for 3-4 weeks to see whether I hear something?

Or should I write a letter to my congressman anyway...?

Personally I think I'd rather wait, after all, they will HAVE to do something with the case now, right?

Anybody disagree....? :D

Although it wasn't the news I was really hoping for, I am happy to report that my EAD was approved yesterday (Nov 20). Hopefully the card won't take the 30 days suggested on the message!

I still haven't heard a thing on my AOS since it was transferred to CSC. At this point I'd be happy just to know they received it ...

May 26th 2004 recieved RFE via email

June 4th 2004 recieved RFE in post (photos were not dated, boarding pass had no year on it. oops!)

June 14th 2004 posted response to RFE

June 22nd 2004 VSC recieved response to RFE (dated 18/06/04)

JULY 1st 2004...101 days and STILL counting!!

July 7th 2004 WE ARE APPROVED!!

July 10th 2004NOA2 in post.

July 14th 2004 File sent from NVC to London.

July 28th 2004 Packet 3 recieved

August 12th 2004 sent packet 3 back.

November 1st 2004 Interview date.... APPROVED.

March 8th 2005 Arrive via Bos. Finally see my man again.

May 14th 2005 Our wedding day

June 10th 2005 sent in AOS forms.

August 16th 2005 Biometrics

Sept 6th 2005 Interview - went well....i think.

Nov 7th 2006 STILL awaiting FBI name check!!!!!!!! no green card, no touches, nothing. Getting a bit fed up with being in Limbo land. :0(

January 2007 wrote to senator, who in turn contacted FBI. Yes we are STILL in name check, they got our name in June 2005!!!

February 27th 2007 3 emails all saying the same thing. Fingerprinting processing is completed.

March 20th 2007 Have written to Michael Cannon head of FBI namecheck. Mentioned i am no longer amused :0(

April 28th 2007 Recieved letter asking me to go for third set of fingerprints!

April 29th 2007 Sent a letter to query the need for 3rd set of prints.

May 2nd 2007 USCIS replied - do NOT need a third set after all - go figure

well folks, seems uscis isnt quite done with me yet...my aos was supposedly approved on 11/02 and after patiently waiting for the greencard (which still hasnt arrived) i got a letter telling me to go to the local office on 11/27 for biometrics...so of course i called the (mis)info line and was told (surprise, surprise) that i just have to show up no matter what...so i guess i'll find out what this is about on monday...guess they lost my biometrics file that's why i didnt get my greencard? geez... :wacko:
