Hey I went to go get my SS Card, again (for the third attempt) and guess what?? No go Joe. Sheesh, it's approved, I have the EAD in my hot little hand, but it's not been updated on their system yet, could be waiting up to 6 weeks for it.

So my 12 month EAD will be down to about 10 months by the time I can finally work.

Omg, if after them denying (well, frankly they never told us a darn thing after we applied) James his SSN when his K1 was valid I would go BONKERS if they told us that we have to wait after getting EAD to get it.

I just was checking my online status at USCIS and it appears my EAD was touched today ... I wonder if was made into a paper airplane and they were having a contest to see if they could land it in the garbage can .... ROFL ...

Ok so for everyone who is in the same position as me, having an email saying it was transferred and then no more news since, no touches etc, I called the mis-info line to see what the processing times for a transferred AOS is so that I know how long I should wait before writing to my representative etc (have no plans to do that yet as been waiting only 60 days, with no touches since the original email but it's always good info to have) and they told me to call back after 90 days! First it's 30 days, then it's after 60days and now it's after 90 days! The lady did say that they are transferring so many cases to CSC that the uscis actually do not give themselves an amount of time to process the application so it's never outside of projected processing timeframes, which is convenient for them as most congressmen will only help if it's outside of projected processing timeframes. I don't know why I even bother to call them, it just makes me angrier about the whole process.

That's my rant for the day

I am very happy for all the quick approvals but for those of us getting farther to the top of the list it is so depressing. No point in calling - like you say it just makes you angrier.

yeah i noticed that yesterdays waiting...im so amazed as to the halloween magic did for us lol....

is there a way that we could put each month approvals as a link maybe that way the list is still there but not as long...anyone else have any ideas ....

there must be be something in the damm social security website that you could take along..surely by now you are in the save system...send mdyoung a pm an ask him about it..or just put in a search for SSN ... an his links and explanations will come up...

Exactly the same here. Transferred on 10/4 and NOTHING except for a touch on 10/10 which I pray was CSC receiving it and not them actually mailing it.....gotta have a tiny bit of hope somewhere.

Your timeline is real close to ours. Since we were both transferred on 10-4 I am hoping we might get approved around the same time -- well you have to have a little hope!!

I see your husband is from Manchester -mine is from Burnley!

We have only had one touch since being at CSC too on 10-21.

I completely agree also, while I'm extremely happy for all the people that have had their AOS approved -- umm can I be next? LOL

Just to add to the confusion:

As I had posted in October after my call to the (mis-)information hotline, I was told that the "projected timeframe" for our kind of case is "180 days from the date of the transfer".......so now we got all the options, 30,60,90, AND 180 days......yeehaw

(My transfer was May 23, so I haven't done anything else yet, since the 180 days haven't passed......also I am not sure whether they mean the date when the transfer started or the date when the case was received at CSC......which in my case would be June 8, which would push the 180 day-mark even further back)

I think you're right.....if you call that info line three times, you'll probably get 4 different answers

I know what you mean.....

I am really, really happy for all the people who are being approved, but at the same time it IS difficult to read how fast USCIS can work if they want to........

Oh well.....they probably just have to make sure that I am not a dangerous criminal, who is wanted in 24 countries for terrorism, and who is now planning to overthrow the government of this country (in Alaska, of all places......wouldn't you think "dangerous" people would pick a different spot....NY City, for example? ).......sorry.....after all this time, sarcasm seems to be the only thing
