Don't know if anyone has mentioned/seen this but it's new on the USCIS website. I was looking around to find the number since its been over 30 days since our CSC transfer and we've had no indication from CSC that they have received it and I was told to call back in 30 days about a notice of receipt, but now I think that might be futile (well, I already knew it might be, but now it's even more futile). The bold part is what I noticed mostly....

Services Available to You Anytime While Your Case is Pending With USCIS

While we will not research the status of a case that is within the normal processing time, we do offer a variety of case services while your case is pending with us. Please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for assistance for any of the issues listed here.

If you move and you want to know about updating your address.

If you filed a Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, as a permanent resident, and then became a U.S. citizen.

You may also find information here on our website related to how to upgrade your petition.

If you find an error in the information on the last notice we sent you.

If you find an error on a document we issued, you will have to file an application to replace it, and you will have to return the document when you apply. If the error was caused by USCIS and you can prove it, you may be able to file an application without a fee.

If you mailed your application or petition more than 30 days ago to a Service Center or to our National Benefit Center, and have not yet received a receipt in the mail.

*

If you did not get any other kind of notice - and you have a receipt number, and case status on our website states that we sent you a notice (other than the receipt notice) more than 14 days ago, but you haven't yet received it.

*

If you filed several related cases together, such as different applications for the same person, or for family members, or for a group of workers, and received a decision about some of the cases but not the others, and are concerned the companion cases may have been separated.

Check our Case Status Online first.

If you submitted original documents with your case and you want to request documents be returned to you while your case is pending.

We recommend you wait until the case is finished to ask for them back because we may need them at some point, and it will delay your case if we have to come back to you for the originals.

If you have a pending Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker, and you need to change the names of persons you included on the petition, or you need to change the consulates or ports of entry where the individuals will apply for their visa or entry.

If you absolutely cannot make it to a scheduled interview that we requested, call before the interview date as far in advance as possible. However, please understand that rescheduling can delay processing. We will only reschedule if emergency reasons outside your control prevent you from keeping your appointment. Certain kinds of interview cannot be rescheduled. When you call customer service, you will need to explain the reason that makes it impossible for you to keep your appointment. The office where your interview was scheduled will make the decision about whether to grant your request to change your appointment, and will notify you directly.

Wow, I just tried to call and they've really changed it up. They've got it automated to say LOTS of times that the information they gave me (aka my case status) is all they know and all they can give me through this number so as long as I'm in processing times, don't bother calling, so for anyone calling it's even more pointless!

Well, we are very happy, I just got the approval e-mail for Patricia's application, guess CSC is really coming thru with those approvals.

Wow seems like there certainly has been a lot of CSC approvals lately, which is about time really! Congratulations to everyone who has been approved recently! I'm very envious, still patiently waiting for my approval after hearing nothing new for my AOS since it was transfered on 14th September. Thankfully I've been busy working now I have the EAD so that's stopped me worrying about AOS too much.

Just out of interest does anyone know what CSC's estimated processing time is for a transferred AOS application?

Just out of interest does anyone know what CSC's estimated processing time is for a transferred AOS application?

It seems to vary widely. I think CSC transferees face the same FBI namecheck issues as some of our district office counterparts. So some people are approved quickly because they have uncommon names and it's easy to check them, and some people get stuck in the system for a long time while they're being investigated.

My husband has a common name, so I'm trying to buckle down to be patient, but I'd love to see him approved sometime soon!

is there anyway we could include in those who are waiting an EAD approval...that way we know who is just waiting for AOS approval..

im just wondering if this has something to do with their long wait also ..they got their EAD whats the rush on their AOS who knows with this process..it was just a thought...
