Hi everyone!!! I have been up to my neck in homework and getting a new job so I haven't been on in a while. Just want to CONGRATULATE all the new tranferees and approved ones!! I hope everyone is doing well finding work and enjoying their greencards!!

i went into the case online status page a moment ago an found it aint working at the moment so i tried it directly from the website an sure enough it aint working...

On Friday I went and got my Ohio State Id Card with no problems this time round then went to our bank and opened a bank account and got a $500 credit card too...went to do the social security card but they were closed by the time we got there...fancy them closing at 4pm...in oz they close at 5.30pm it i remember rightly...dont help those who work now does it...

My husband's Greencard arrived yesterday with no mistakes :dance: and we're going out tonight to celebrate.

thanks kath, but all i wanted to know is if AOS approval invalidates the EAD in a situation where you know you're approved but you dont actually have the greencard in your hands...as in if for some reason i dont get the greencard within 30 days of the approval email, i can still use my EAD as proof that i'm work authorized if i get hired, right?i think so, but i'd like confirmatio...so...anyone?

i always thought the reason we apply for the EAD is just in case we dont get approved with the AOS first...

so there for the following applies..

EAD: This document proves you are allowed to work in the United States.

is there an expiry date on the EAD...im asking cos i have never seen one..

when your greencard comes in the mail..you can go by the greencard also...the greencard to me is more important than the EAD but if i was in your shoes i would be using the EAD for employment...

hope that didnt sound too harsh mate sometimes i type how i am thinking an it dont come out right..lol..

Got meself a purty liddle white EAD card in the mail today!! :dance:

In three days it's been 2 months since my AOS was touched, it feels sooo unloved by the CSC. :crying:

yeah the EAD has an expiry date...and i just got a job, i start tomorrow

I showed the employer my EAD and i was told to bring in my greencard when it arrives so...guess that answers my question

I just got my green card in the mail today ... No mistakes on it so

whooo hooo jeeleebee congrats on the job

and yeah i know im more aussie that some lol although i was born in england lol its funny but when i went for my Ohio State Id card he thought i was a pom lol...i left the uk when i was 8 lol

Congratulations!!!!!!!!! I'm sooo happy!!!!! Hey guys a question... do you have the CSC telephone number? I sent my Change of address form like 2 weeks ago and no answer yet so I'm afraid they'll send it to my other address!!! I already told my ex roommates to check the mail but still..... I don'y want it to get lostttt!!!!!!!!
