Hey gsmaclean,

I have been keeping an eye on your progress or lack of and I gather there hasn't been any change since they acknowledge they received your RFE last Friday ?? I am gauging your RFE approval as something to compare to mine ....

Nope, not a whisper. They acknowledged that they got it, I haven't heard a peep since then.

I find it funny that it took my RFE 4 days to get to Illinois from California ... I turn around and mail it back to CSC and get it to them in 2 days ... Yet it has been 3 days so far and it hasn't managed to get from the mail room to someones desk ....

How hard can it be for them to approve us if they already went through our packages in detail and issued the RFEs regarding what they needed .... You would think all they have to do is review the info that we sent and say yey or ney .... GRRRRRRRRRR

You would think that, but then that would make sense, wouldn't it? And we all know that this entire process has nothing to do with common sense.

Ya I have been OCDing all day because I got a touch today on my AOS ... CSC acknowledged that they received my RFE yesterday and then I had a touch really early this morning ... I should know better and realise that they probably moved it from one shelf to the other but for some reason I still have to keep checking ... :)

hi ya waiting an kaffykat

u r not on your own on that one...i have lost count how many times a day i check..first thing when i get up to the last thing at early hours of the morning lol...(hubby is a 2nd shifter)

and i have come to the conclusion.. even if they do touch you in the morning the date dont change if they touched it in the afternoon lol

but that still dont stop me lol hope it is good news for ya mates

That's good - they did the same to me - they confirmed receipt on the 20th, touched it the next day on the 21st, but haven't touched it since.

My AP never did show up in the online system (it says the ID number is invalid) so I called them today to ask what the deal was. Their highly technical answer was that it "must have not gotten entered in because of some kind of glitch or something."

How reassuring. Glad to see my $170 is well-spent.

it gets worse as it goes along...meaning...the more ya read of their incompetency it makes ya wonder what the hell do they learn in training...

speaking of which i was on a job site an i put toledo in and there pops up jobs for homeland security....i nearly rang um ..cos i still believe some of the VJ'ers would do a damm good job for them..

4th Sept 2008 - Biometrics-Detroit-Complete-'Touched'

5th Sept 2008 - 'Touched'

1st Dec 2008 - APPROVED-Card production ordered -112 days

8th Dec 2008 - USCIS mailed approval notice.

8th Dec 2008 - Received my 10 year Greencard in the mail. took 2 days.

Although I have the above date for approval my card actualy states the

2nd December..

That's good - they did the same to me - they confirmed receipt on the 20th, touched it the next day on the 21st, but haven't touched it since.

My AP never did show up in the online system (it says the ID number is invalid) so I called them today to ask what the deal was. Their highly technical answer was that it "must have not gotten entered in because of some kind of glitch or something."

How reassuring. Glad to see my $170 is well-spent.

I think we are all stuck in some dimmented OCD lab experiment to see how far they can take us till we actually have a nervous breakdown :)

Lets hope we both get an approval soon so we can get on with our lives :)
