We just got this email today:

Current Status:

This case has been approved. On August 8, 2006, an approval notice was mailed. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business hours.

Is this different than the welcome notice that we received last week?

I'm really angry :( . I just got yet another RFE, this time to go for a SECOND full medical. I just had one in London in December, then when I got here in January, I got the vaccination supplement from a US civil surgeon. This is crazy. Yet more $$$$ and more time....will this ever end? Can they keep requesting RFE for ever?

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Update:

I can't begin to explain how aggravated and frustrated I feel. I recently got a notification that my case has been transferred to the Missouri service Center. I'm guessing from there it'll make its ugly head toward Phoenix, where I will have an interview. Lord only knows how much more time that will take.

I'm so sorry to hear about that, Chocolaterie and KikiDoug :(

It just doesn't make sense......there are people being approved after just a couple of months, while others have to go through annoying extra medicals, their cases get shoved back and forth......apparently with no rhyme or reason :(

I am still waiting for something to happen with my AOS, as well.......I'm almost anticipating problems, since it seems as if most of the others were approved fairly quickly after their transfer, and only the ones with longer wait times had the joyful experience of REFs, additional medicals, etc.

Good luck to you two :)

Well, I went and redid the medical on Tuesday at a civil surgeon- a 600 mile round trip for us. I gave my chest x-ray from London rather than having the TB test as I would had to have returned after 2 days - and I have been vaccinated against it (TB) too, as my vaccination record shows. I had two blood samples taken again...this process is very confusing and I have no idea why I had to go again. Now just have to wait for the results to come back and I'll post them back to USCIS.

I just hope this will be the last RFE, as this has been my second :(

I'm starting work on Monday - teaching in Uni of Va - and this whole thing has just put a big dampener on everything....

I hope eveything is progressing well for all you other CSC transferees
