For your information, I received a notice yesterday that said with intent to deny. this is due to being requested to have a medical despite already having a full one in the UK and sending I- 693a. I now know that my medical was lost in transit but I also wanted to say that having sent I-693a does not complete I-693 as I was advised by vj members. I will have another medical but because I have my vaccination sheet my medical is only costing $200.

I feel very angry about this as i would not have received my K1 visa without an approved medical. I understand no one cares, but it seems that immigration can get away with anything.

Hi - there have recently been several folks in a similar situation, search for the thread, I believe they contacted their congress person who was successful in nudging the USCIS folks to look further then the ends of their noses. Their medicals were 'found'

Hopefully someone will jump in here with their own experience....search for 'medical' or something similar

I agree that it appears they can get away with anything and they have a lot of CYA excuses. Most times the 693A is accepted...of course when they haven't lost the original medical

PS: we do care and udnerstand how frustrating it is

as far as I know this also happend to Melyssa , and yes like Wiz said try to get in contact with your congressman , I also read few posts where they recoverd the lost medical when congress was involved , good luck

Thank you fror your reply. I will try my congressman but I only have until the 1st march to reply and I was lucky to get a medical appointment on 18th Feb which should give me time to respond by 1st march. My frustration is that I am nearly 7 months pregnant and I don't have the energy to fight. I just want my green card.

Before you do that, call and contact your US spouse's nearest local USA CONGRESSMAN'S office and go see them and ask for assistance in tracking your medical or finding out just how the world it was lost. Because I am almost certain with about 99% certainty that your medical will suddenly become unlost and reappear once that Congressman files a Congressional inquiry on your behalf! I read where some other VJers had this same thing happen to them recently and after contacting Congressman office for help they got results and medical found and AOS processed! :unsure:

Fight them they need to do their job! AND USCIS must answer your Congressman's office Congressional Inquiry within 48 hours and give answer to you, they have no choice in this matter and it is not a worthless infopass appt deal, this will get results. :thumbs:
