July 21 2006, Neighbour brought letter. Green Card 06/08/2006 no errors on it, was delivered to wrong mailbox, so I cancelled infopass for July 24 in Miami

WEll no more online update/change in status since 19th May BUT I've just come home and there was a message on the answermachine from CSC. They simply said that they would phone me back tomorrow - that it's in relation to my daughter's AOS ... ohhhh Im feeling very, very sick ..... has this happened to anyone else?????

Having listened very carefully to the message again - she did say at the end of the message " ... I'll try and call you back tomorrow to save time".

Save time??? Sounds ominous to me ....

I've just received emails for both myself and my daughter to say that a "Welcome Letter" was sent to us yesterday. At last!! Also wondering now if we'll get the ten year card and not the two one as I'm three months past our second wedding anniversary.

I'm also hoping that we'll get the green card for my daughter before she leaves for hte UK on 19 June - she has advance parole but I really don't want any complications on her return on 28 July ..

Today, June 3rd, I received four envelopes, two addressed to myself and two addressed to my 9-year old.

On opening the first two envelopes (one addressed to myself and the other to my daughter) I discover that they are the "Welcome Letters". The Receipt Dates and Priority DAtes were May 3 2004. The Notice DAtes were May 30 2006.

Now for the good part!!

The other two envelopes contained the "green cards" - for myself and for my daughter.

We have been granted Permanent Resident Cards with an expiry date of 29 MAY 2016 and it shows a Resident Since date of 24 May 2006.

This is a very strange feeling - no more applying for Advance Parole or Employment AUthorizations ... now maybe my little family can get on with a life .. no worry, no applyig for this and that - no more waiting ..

7/27/2005 Went to India to see Sowmya

7/31/2005 Proposed and she said "yes"!

08/05/2005 Held official engagement ceremony

08/07/2005 Returned to US

08/26/2005 Sent in I-129F petition

08/31/2005 Received online NOA1

09/02/2005 Received NOA1 through snail mail

11/22/2005 Received online NOA2!!! (Day 88)

11/26/2005 Received NOA2 through snail mail.

11/28/2005 NVC receives case

12/1/2005 Case sent to Chennai consulate via DHL

1/12/2006 Interview date - Visa approved!!!

1/16/2006 Received visa by courier

1/20/2006 Arrival in US - Chicago O'hare POE (Reunited at last!!!)

1/21/2006 Returned home to Birmingham together.

2/10/2006 Married!!!

2/15/2006 Sent in AOS/EAD application

2/27/2006 Received NOA1 for EAD

3/2/2006 Received NOA1 for AOS

3/20/2006 Received Biometrics appointment letter for AOS/EAD (4/11/2006)

3/30/2006 EAD application touched

4/11/2006 Biometrics appointment (AOS/EAD)

4/13/2006 AOS/EAD applications touched

5/3/2006 AOS application transferred to CSC

5/5/2006 EAD touched

5/8/2006 AOS application received by CSC

5/9/2006 EAD approved!!!

5/13/2006 EAD card received

6/6/2006 AOS approved without interview!!!

6/9/2006 Received Welcome Letter

11.14.2005: AOS and EAD applications received at USCIS

03.10.2006: EAD received (114 days since submission)

06.17.2006: Green card received (241 since submission)

Removal of Conditions Timeline

05.28.2008: Sent I-751 to Vermont Service Center

06.04.2008: NOA1 received

07.05.2008: Biometrics completed in Houston

yeah congrats! that was super fast! just over a month?!

I called uscis to change my address, and while I was talking to the polite lady, I asked her about my aos. She said if I don't hear anything in 6 mos from being transferred... to call back. craziness!!

I wonder what they're doing with my file... is there a spy out there with my same name?

Please add me to the list. At first I was concerned about being transferred, but I guess it can be a blessing in disguise

I got an email from USCIS today stating that on June 12 a welcome notice was mailed. Thanks Chocolaterie for the suggestion about emailing them. That seemed to do the trick.
