So happy to see some of our old-timers get approved this week :dance: :dance:

Our RFE is for the medical, which we have at the end of next week so here's to hoping we will be number 2 for only a short while.

Big congratulations to DrPepper1109 (been watching your case for a while, and to Lauren and Dave and FeatherB. Here's hoping August is a lucky month for approvals for those still waiting.

Still waiting for approval on my AOS.....I am soooooooooooooooooooooo frustrated by all this. Here we are, following all the rules, pay all the fees and it just takes forever and ever and ever and ever.....And now they tell me my EAD, which I received in February is not activated or whatever that means.....and no-one at the info line can give me an answer to the how, what, why question..... :wacko::blink::huh::(:o:unsure: .....sorry, just had to vent.....

Surely if you have an EAD card then it's 'activated' (Whatever tha means!) by definition? USCIS issued it therefore it must be valid!

I don't know what this whole activated thing is about. I thought once you are approved for the card and you have it in your possesion that's it, but I went to the SS office to see what's going on with my new SS card, since I have been waiting for that one for several weeks now and the lady I spoke to told me my EAD was not activated, which could be the reason of the delay and why I couldn't get my ID card. I really have had enough of all these delays, mistakes etc. It took USCIS 6 months alone to simply fix one little spelling mistake they made in my name. All they had to do was to change a U to an A, but it took me 3 phone calls to the service centre and 6 months of waiting before they had that fixed.....they drive me nuts! :wacko:

12 Feb 2009 - Montreal requests copy of green card to close file (sent)

24 Apr 2009 - CRIS notice saying my case is being reviewed. (eek!?)

9 Sep 2009 - Documents stamped received at VSC

14 Sep 2009 - NOA received

23 Sep 2009 - Biometrics letter received
