Just thought I'd do a quick update:

We got the RFE on Friday and it was for the medical. Alas the only appointment we could get near us was for the end of next month as the doctor was booked solid, so we have a bit of a wait till we can finally be done with AOS.

Never mind, at least we are done with the FBI name check part....

We will keep you posted

Annie, Did you send in the medical with your initial AOS? We got an RFE too. I called Buffalo(POE) and Montreal(Consulate) and they don't use the forms the RFE said was missing. I've called my congressman and they're working on seeing what happened. I've seen several other cases in this forum where the medicals got lost along the way.

Here's my saga and there's a link in there for someone else that went through the same thing: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=77474

We sent all the info but they said the medical was over a year old. Don't mind the RFE as it means we are out of FBI name check and nearly finished with the process.

Oh yes, I know...lol...this was my first email, sent 2 days after the one you are refering to. I sent another one last week, haven't gotten a reply to this yet.

I guess it depends on who is reading the emails wether they reply or not?

Anyway, I called the number (for the 3rd time in 30 days, just to see how many different information I would get and there we go:

Call 1, June 28: We are currently processing cases from December 14. You should be approved anytime soon, if you don't hear anything, call in 30 days

Call 2, July 16: Your type of case (family based) has a processing date of March 23, 2006, be patient and wait! (No kidding)

Call 3, July 19: CSC is currently processing the I-485 cases from January 14, so you are already outside the processing times.*

*I specificly asked for the different times for employment and family based and she told me, if they don't have two different dates shown, it's combined, no difference, what type your AOS application is.

I asked to submit a status inquiry, which she did and told me to call back later today to see what they get back from CSC.

So maybe that gives me some more, accurate information.....hopefully....I mean, you should never give up the hope, right?

I got that email before I got the email where they told me I'm in namechecks. First time I didn't include James's full name or bday though, so maybe that helped? I dunno :)
